What happens in this class?

The research is in: journalling has been shown to have a long list of beneficial effects on mental health and well-being. In this workshop, lead by local artist and writer Julie Galante, you’ll be invited to start your own journalling practice in a welcoming and supportive environment. We’ll discuss different ways to approach a writing habit — including gratitude journalling, morning pages, and more — and try out some of them together. We’ll explore ways to use journalling to promote mindfulness, calm, and focus in your life.

Co-founder Julie Galante, who teaches most of our workshops, is a visual artist and writer. Her studio practice focuses on painting, collage, and mixed-media techniques which combine layers of painting and drawing.
