This course is not about creating masterpieces but rather, it combines mindfulness with art, allowing you to develop new ways of seeing and relating to the world. Over the month you will practise skills that are transferable to life. For example, by drawing without looking at the paper, we train the mind to let go of control; or by expressing our feelings through mark-making, we find a truer sense of our own voice. Georgie Mason is an intuitive abstract painter working in an assortment of media. She values the art making process for its therapeutic benefits and as a process of self-exploration just as much as she values the final product. 

Georgie teaches weekly workshops from her studio at Stepney City Farm in London: a wholesome and creative environment, physically close but atmospherically very far from the hustle and bustle of the city, with glass double doors looking out onto the farm, animals all around, and neighboured by a spoon-carver and a ceramicist.
