A really fantastic course, with passionate tutors that are generous with their knowledge and very gentle. The location is perfect and a insight to a lovely community. The course structure is perfect, ending in a gentle spoon carving after a more physical day of learning how to use the lathe. Tips and tricks make you feel quickly confident using sharp tools and get into a meditative state surrounded by likeminded and supportive people! Thank you - i cant wait to return!

Lunchtime brought us together, fostering a sense of community as we shared stories and fueled up for the afternoon's creations. By the end of the day, we weren't just leaving with handcrafted spoons, but with a newfound appreciation for the connection between nature, creativity, and human connection. It was a truly enriching experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a day filled with fun, learning, and a dash of accomplishment.

Ben was a really patient teacher, and not only showed us how to use the relevant tools, he also provided very interesting and informative background on green wood working. He struck a great balance between not being hand-holding, whilst being always available for us to ask questions / help when we needed it. Even though I was a bit apprehensive going into the course, and this was definitely outside of my comfort zone, this was a fantastic experience and truly suitable for a complete beginner. Thanks so much Ben and we'll definitely be sending family & friends your way!

A really lovely day spent in Terry’s envy-inducing workshop. We were very pleased with our bowls. One of us was a total beginner and Terry was patient and kind as I got to grips with the tools. The more experienced of the two of us learnt new skills and tips for future projects. Terry was very hospitable and a pleasure to have teach us. Highly recommend.

Hi. I wish to have a Richard as a teacher through my education haha. Can’t recommend him more highly. I come as a beginner and end up doing all floors and shower panels at my flat by myself. Second course I came to learn how to do a river tables to upgrade my furniture. I’m very well prepared after the course with Richard so will be pure enjoyment to do something unique.

We had such a great time at our class, brilliant tutors and such a warm & friendly atmosphere! Couldn’t recommend more!

My sister and I loved this course. It was very peaceful and therapeutic in an amazing location. The host and teacher, George and Ivan, we’re very chilled and easy to get on with. George’s brother Freddie made great lasagne and dhal with home made naan breads. George’s uncle, David, shared interesting facts about the surrounding woods. The stool came out brilliant (I think). My sister stayed in a cool yurt, which she had to herself and I had an cool shepherds hut to myself. This was a prefect weekend and a great escape from London and work. Highly recommend. And thanks to George and Ivan for making it such a good weekend! Also the homemade oat milk is amazing!
