Fantastic beginners intro to woodworking

I really enjoyed the 2nd part of the Epoxy Resin workshop it was good to see how you can change the epoxy from shiny to matt and use all the power tools. I might have to book myself on the power tool course as well. I would recommend this course and the part 1

Absolutely fabulous!!! Richard really makes sure you understand the process and most importantly why we do things! The class is a really nice size - relaxed but gives everything you need, as a novice, to get a great introduction and feel enthused to carry on! Can’t wait for the next one!

First time doing woodwork and I really enjoyed this. A great introduction to working with wood and getting to use some great machinery. It was actually really nice to be up early meeting new folk and bonding over this experience. I hope we can get on to some more advanced lessons in future.

Really good day spoon carving. Teaching was good, I'd never done anything similar before and the group was mixed abilities but they managed to teach to the level of everyone as a small group so plenty of scope to help everyone individually as needed.

I so enjoyed four days immersed in learning green woodworking skills. Mat, Graham and Spencer did a brilliant job in taking us through all the steps from selecting the right piece of timber in the woodpile to whittling (or turning) a variety of items as well as how to keep the tools sharp. I'm very pleased with the items I made and the knowledge gained. It's a lovely community.

I really enjoyed the course. The teacher was good, there was a friendly atmosphere and it was great to have a go at creating something using traditional skills and tools.

The class was so so good! Graham was a great teacher, so patient and relaxed. I bought the class for my dad and I for his birthday and we both really enjoyed it! You can take your time when making your bowl, you don’t feel rushed or overwhelmed, and really good energy throughout the day. We were 4 people in the class and it was perfect. Thoroughly enjoyed, thank you!

Attended a spoon carving day in September with Bristol Tree Craft. Was a lovely day out learning how to use new tools and make a spoon! The instructors were lovely and I would absolutely reccomend this:)

A really lovely day spent in Terry’s envy-inducing workshop. We were very pleased with our bowls. One of us was a total beginner and Terry was patient and kind as I got to grips with the tools. The more experienced of the two of us learnt new skills and tips for future projects. Terry was very hospitable and a pleasure to have teach us. Highly recommend.

The one to one class was excellent and very instructive. The bowl turned out well and I felt I had learned a lot. Terry was avery good teacher

Ben was a really patient teacher, and not only showed us how to use the relevant tools, he also provided very interesting and informative background on green wood working. He struck a great balance between not being hand-holding, whilst being always available for us to ask questions / help when we needed it. Even though I was a bit apprehensive going into the course, and this was definitely outside of my comfort zone, this was a fantastic experience and truly suitable for a complete beginner. Thanks so much Ben and we'll definitely be sending family & friends your way!
