The only downside was the cold, it was 2 degrees and felt a bit too cold to spend that much time outside. But we did have a fire to help.
London Green Wood is a community of woodworkers practising rural crafts in the city. Based at Abney Park Cemetery, a small woodland in Hackney, they work with green wood straight from the log and hand tools. All the wood they use has been felled locally.
People of all levels of experience are invited to come and discover the joy of making in wood through their courses.
London Green Wood have been running events and teaching courses at their workshop since 2011. They promise a beautiful setting, friendly people, the satisfaction of learning new skills and a fire when it gets chilly.
Any class can be cancelled and fully refunded within 24 hours of purchase. See cancellation policy.
