Very informative, packed a lot into a short time and I feel confident I can repeat this at home.

I am an absolute beginner and in my first class already learned quite a lot. Looking forward to picking up more skills and tips of the trade.

Lovely time had with Andea learning a new crochet stitch for a granny blanket. Excellent instruction as usual from Andrea.

Have done 2 courses at the river shop, both were excellent courses. Richard who ran the classes has a great work shop for learning and the courses attended were well run and fun. Richard gives indepth knowledge for the courses being run and ensures safety at all times. Will def be attending further courses.

Excellent 3 hr workshop covering several different techniques

A most enjoyable afternoon and I'm delighted with my 2D felted seascape. A huge selection of coloured wools were provided and we were also shown how to mix different colours to make even more. Heather was a fabulous teacher, the whole experience was very therapeutic! The class took place in Heather's lovely home.

I would highly recommend this workshop. Heather is welcoming, fun, knowledgeable and patient. Working in a small group with one other person Heather demonstrated step by step how to make a small wet felt planter. There was a wide variety of materials available in every colour imaginable. Such a lovely afternoon in Heather’s beautiful home.

What a brilliant workshop! We had a great time learning how to make ravioli and have successfully made it on our own several times since. I wholeheartedly would recommend this course.

Hélène went to so much trouble to ensure this class went ahead. I feel very fortunate that I was able to attend the class 1 on 1 and get some much needed time away from a screen and get creative with calligraphy. The class expanded on what was taught at beginners class and I cannot wait to get practicing. Hélène was so patient and informative and created such a calm atmosphere. It really gave my calligraphy the boost is needed. Would definitely recommend :)

Very good class, small number of students so lots of one to one attention. Was able to draft a basic pattern from favourite trousers with instructions for extras like pockets, fly, darts and pleats. Knowledgeable and friendly instructor too. Would recommend.

I learnt how to create 3d images out of paper in a fun and relaxed class. The teacher was incredibly knowledge and friendly. We Silvina's help we could make anything that we could imagine into a 3D paper masterpiece. The final product was completely personal and bespoke - we didn't just have to follow templates, although these were available. I would recommend a class with Silvina to anybody and everybody, and the 'cherry on the cake' of her classes is that there is tea and cake! Perfect way to spend an afternoon.

Alex is an incredible teacher - I have been in many different settings facilitating visual & performing arts activities, and she has a such a gift for creating a space that is both safe and challenging so that you find yourself trying and doing new things and going deeper into areas than you ever have before! Her manner is gentle and inspiring, always opening up new perspectives as she guides the session. I have learnt so much from attending her workshops, not only about techniques and materials but about myself and the creative process... a must for anyone wanting to grow in their creative journey! Her sessions are truly life-giving.

It was a very calm learning environment, I enjoyed every stage plus the tutor's vast knowledge that made the training very smooth. I will certainly come back for more.

I really enjoyed my day at Purr & Wag It. Heather was very patient and explained everything clearly as I was a complete beginner, had never done wet felting before. I did a 2D and then a 3D workshop. Choosing from the range of colours was so much fun, you can really indulge your creativity! I definitely recommend it as a fun session, for an individual or a group of friends.

Alex is an excellent teacher with a varied range of creative ideas. Every session was different, so we covered lots of techniques and there was always a vast range of materials provided for us to use and express our creativity with. The sessions were incredibly well planned, and with such attention to detail. Alex really takes time with each student, and has clarity and insight in the way she teaches. After each class I couldn’t wait for the next one.

A once in a lifetime experience that I now want to share with all my friends and family. To experience a day in the life of such a skilled artisanal woodworker in its own right was incredibly special and interesting. Let alone getting stuck in myself doing things I’d never imagine being able to do: from using heavy machinery to cut wood to skilfully mixing and creating with resin. My table is something my family and I will cherish for a long time and I can’t wait to tell people ‘I did that!’. Highly recommend and will be back for the coffee table, serving dish, and whatever else Richard can teach me
