In this lesson, students will learn advanced guitar techniques (arpeggios enclosures, bebop scales, odd time signatures, retrograde approach, polyrhythms, etc.). This class has been designed to help the student develop an arsenal of techniques and skills which are necessary for mastering the instrument and follow a career as a professional musician or guitar tutor in the future. Some of this lesson's topics include styles' tuning and arrangement techniques for contemporary styles. Students will learn how to arrange different musical instruments and develop advanced harmony and songwriting skills. Furthermore, during these lessons the students are trained to recognise extended chords and harmonic changes in tunes by ear while they will be taught how to write music scores and lead sheets effectively. Scores from West End theatre shows are provided to the students to help them understand, practise and reach a level of competitive skills in the relevant field of the music industry. Technique is like the foundations of a building. It may take some time to develop, but all future progress depends on it. Without good basic technique your guitar playing can never sound really good no matter how much you practice. If you've seen a building going up, you might have noticed that clearing the ground and laying foundations is a process that can take some time, and in this time not a lot appears to be happening. Once the foundations are completed though, the building work can progress very quickly. Similarly, once you acquire the basic skills of guitar playing, you can learn the different scales, licks etc without too much trouble. If the basics aren't sound, though, you're likely to hit a point beyond which you can't progress. You then have to go back and relearn the basics - and thats no fun!

This is an introductory course for beginners and complete beginners wishing to learn how to play the saxophone. The course will teach you the basic principles of playing an instrument in general and the saxophone in particular. Over the course of five carefully designed sessions you will learn: How to handle and assemble your instrument. You will be introduced to various breathing techniques in order to learn how to breathe naturally when performing and how to deal with stage fright and performance related anxieties and tension releasing exercises for your various body parts. You will learn about instrument maintenance, how best to take care of your instrument including practical tips taken from real life experience. You will take the first steps towards playing your instruments. Under expert guidance you will play your first notes to create melodies, existing melodies as well as your own.
