Flint knapping involves the controlled flaking of flint to produce tools and weapons, therefore common sense means taking precautions.

We will provide safety gloves, eye shield, and leg pads along with other safety precautions.

We will provide facilities like toilet, hand-wash, etc and also water / tea / coffee. Please bring your own lunch / snacks.

Very complete course, giving us an introduction to the history and theory around flint knapping followed by time to practice the different techniques we learned about. We came back home with an assortment of flint tools in various stages of finishing, and I'm looking forward to doing some more work on them :) Definitely recommended if you are new to flint knapping and want to gain some introductory insight and skills!
