What you will do
1 hour class
This practice is based on Larry Schultz's "Rocket" yoga. Larry trained with the original Ashtangi, Sri K Patthabi Jois, and developed the Rocket from the Ashtanga Vinyasa Primary Series. He developed this style whilst touring with the band The Grateful Dead and named it "The Rocket" as it "gets you there faster"!
It begins with the Suryanamaskar A's and B's (Sun Salutations), moves through standing, includes optional inversions like Pincha and Handstand, then to seated, then to closing and Savasana. It is a beautiful practice, and Isie likes to inject fun and laughter into all her yoga classes.

About your host, Yoga Pad Henley
Isie has been practicing yoga for nearly 20 years and completed her Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga teacher training in 2014. Her passion and enthusiasm for Ashtanga Vinyasa and the more contemporary Rocket Yoga led her to start teaching classes in her home town of Henley-on-Thames.
"I believe in yoga. In it's power to bring about change, not only in one single person, but in a greater sense. Yoga is for everyone, regardless of how stiff or bendy, weak or strong they are. It has the power to create positivity and change, acceptance and humility in whoever chooses to practice."
Have blocks to hand in case you need them. Make sure you have enough space around your mat for swinging arms and legs around! You might like to prepare an eye bag, some essential oils and a blanket for savasana.
