    About this class

Are you a nanny or au pair who is in need of a helping hand in the kitchen? Well, this is just the class for you. Join this class and learn all the basic cooking tips and tricks to transform your culinary skills!

    In this class

This class involves a healthy mixture of demonstrations and hands-on cooking, with plenty of eating opportunities (so arrive hungry)!

The class will start with the basics: chopping onions, making a white sauce, cooking for a freezer, and many other cooking fundamentals. After this, students will be taught the nutritional aspects of cooking, covering food hygiene, and you will leave the class having created and eaten up to 7 recipes, which you will be able to recreate at home!

    Typical recipes:

    • Chicken in breadcrumbs
    • Sweet potato wedges
    • Classic lasagne
    • Ragu & tomato sauce
    • Creamy tomato chicken
    • Kedgeree
    • Fool proof white sauces

    Now you can

    • Cook delicious and nutritious meals for children
    • Work on the basic skills you have learnt to improve as a cook
    • Meet other nannies and au pairs in the class

    Keep / Eat

Students will taster all that is made throughout the class

    Fun fact

For any fans of etymology out there, did you know that the colour 'orange' is actually named after the fruit with the same name, not the other way round. It was around the 16th century that the word 'orange' started being used to describe the particular colour, as opposed to merely the fruit. Before this the word that was used for this colour was 'geoluhread'
