I had a wonderful time making a gorgeous pair of silver earrings with Sara. I got to try lots of different techniques, Sara is a great teacher and Misty, her French Bulldog, is adorable!

This was my second visit to Sarah but this time I took my daughter for a covid delayed birthday treat . We had a fabulous time and both made very pretty cuffs, Sara is an amazing teacher , patient , encouraging and great fun to be with.It really was like visiting an old friend only we learned new skills and came away with lovely bracelets , Sara even repolished the one I’d made last time . My daughter enjoyed the whole process and has already decided we must go back go back and make some matching pieces . I can’t recommend this course enough , it takes you out of your comfort zone, and gives you an insight into Sara’s world of chisels and hammers , files and hacksaws which was great fun and best of all even complete beginners come away with a unique and beautiful piece of jewellery. It’s a great day out and very different .We will definitely be back ! Thank you Sara

Fantastic day learning new skills and exploring the world of silver smithing. Sara was very welcoming and friendly and has a beautiful little workshop in the garden creating a relaxed and creative environment. Sara was very hospitable and Misty the dog was an added bonus. Having a one to one session was great as I learnt many techniques and she was very informative and encouraging. I would highly recommend the experience and am thrilled with my new pieces of jewellery... Will definately be visiting again soon.

What a lovely day, thank you Sara and Misty, from the moment I arrived I knew it was going to be a great experience and it was. The workshop is set in a picture perfect garden, Sara is a great host and teacher. I wanted to make a bangle and had no expectations that I could do it. Sara is a great teacher, she is fun and takes her time to show you and we made to odd error which was soon corrected. I enjoyed it so much I have booked a surprise 18th birthday present for my niece with all the family girls. So looking forward to going back and thank you I wear my bangle with pride.

What a wonderful day. I thoroughly enjoyed the workshop and I learnt the basics of making silver jewellery in a pleasant and airy room. The instructor knew her subject and was enthusiastic about her craft. She was very understanding with a complete beginner and spent ages ensuring I understood how to make the jewellery. She was very friendly and made me feel comfortable, so that I felt I could ask her anything. I would recommend this course.

A wonderful, fun day designing and making leaf earrings. Sara is really friendly and instantly made me feel at ease. All the different steps and processes were clearly explained which meant that I felt confident in my design (am not arty!!) and in using the various pieces of equipment. I came away having learnt a lot, having had a great experience and with a pair of earrings that I am really proud of. Sara's workshop is a very comfortable well equipped place to work and lunch was lovely. I would definitely recommend Sara's workshop days.

A really interesting and informative course for a beginner who is interested in silver smithing. Sara was a very patient instructor to a real novice in the art of silver design. The venue was charming in a room in Sara's extremely pretty garden. The day went very quickly and when I left I felt I had a good grounding in the basics of silver design. Thanks Sara and I would definitely recommend this course.

What an amazing day. I was a bit apprehensive as I have not used tools to create jewellery before. Had done a little basic bead work but not worked with raw metal. Thought I might be a bit of an old dog to be taught new tricks but Sara was amazing. Didn’t expect to leave with such a beautiful bracelet which was 99% my own work. Erywell equipped workshop and Sara a very supportive and encouraging teacher. Happy to give design suggestions to ease the process. Sara great fun and down to earth not at all intimidating. Day went really quickly. Will certainly come again, now I have the confidence to make for a friend. Would highly recommend. R

If you are looking for a very knowledgeable, flexible and skilled silver smith, Sara is your person. I had the most lovely day and threw all sorts of problems at Sara and she knew exactly how to resolve them. I have only the most basic silver-smithing experience and Sara was brilliant at showing me techniques and making sure I was on the right track. I even turned up with a scrap of silver that looked like an offensive weapon, it was so sharp; and she helped me make it into a fluid and beautiful bracelet - an iterative process which I really enjoyed. We had happy dogs at our feet all day - Sara and Misty welcomed my lurcher Fiasco and were very accommodating of a rather large dog in their space! We even took the two dogs for a little walk before I headed off with two new bangles and several beautifully polished rings. A day of fascinating conversation, creativity and a sense of achievement, all due to Sara's generosity. I highly recommend this course. Great fun! Thank you Sara!
