Come and enjoy this 2.5 hour workshop getting creative and jewellery making. Craft your very own hammered sterling silver ring, whether as a gift for somebody or a treat for yourself. Hosted by close expert jewellers.

They will guide you through the process of making a ring using traditional goldsmithing techniques such as annealing, forging, soldering, and filing to name but a few. In this workshop you will have the option of making either a wide hammered band or two fine hammered stacking rings (as pictured). Over the course of the class you will have plenty of opportunity to practice your newfound skills, as demonstrated by the jewellers throughout.

There’ll be plenty of opportunity for one-to-one interaction with the jewellers during your session.

We offer gold plating as an optional extra which can be requested and paid for at the end of the workshop. Choose from yellow gold, rose gold or black rhodium plating for your finished ring(s) - prices range from £20 - £40. Please note this service takes up to 3 weeks and you will need to leave your ring(s) with us, which can then be collected or posted out.

Suitable for complete beginners with no previous jewellery making experience.

Participants must be 18 or over.

Make a Silver Ring Workshop with The Ringsmiths at Oxo Tower Wharf

Get your creative juices flowing and come and learn a new skill in our relaxed social setting. Intro to Brush Calligraphy is a step-by-step workshop for those looking to master hand lettering and discover their unique illustrative style.

Perfect for beginners or anyone looking to brush up on their skills, this hands-on class will explore the origins of calligraphy before putting pen to paper: the first hour of the class will be spent practicing brush strokes before moving on to create numbers and letters.

Expect to work your way through the alphabet as you discover this ancient art that’s just as relevant in the digital age - graphic designers, illustrators, creative entrepreneurs and even those looking to boost their social media will benefit from this class.

Tombow brush pen to take home (and others to try out!)

Beginners Brush Calligraphy with The Dandelion Art

Please be aware that the minimum age for participants is 14.

This 3 hour throwing workshop will take you through the basics of pottery throwing on the wheel. No previous experience of working with clay is required as you will be expertly guided by the tutor. Our tutor's are all experienced potters with over 10 years of experience working with ceramics and tutoring. With classes capped at 6 participants, you’ll have plenty of guidance and support throughout the session and you’ll have your own wheel throughout.

Experienced potters are also welcome, and we can help focus on any techniques or shapes that you would like to improve on.

The session will be taught in a friendly and relaxing environment and you will leave feeling enthusiastic to continue your throwing practice.

Please be aware that clean up time starts at least 15 minutes before the end of the session.

The cost of this workshop does not include any pots but you can pay an extra fee (£5 per pot)  to have any fired and glazed.  This process takes approximately 8 working weeks and you will have to make a return journey to collect these, or arrange a courier.

Pots from this workshop will be glazed in our glossy white glaze. If you want the opportunity to add colours to your pots using slips then please book onto our 2 part throwing workshops.

Children under 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult
