What happens in this class?

No matter if you are a beginner or a more seasoned baker, you can't miss the staples of the French patisserie! In this 3 hours session, we will make together three recipes and I will teach you three different unmissable baking techniques.

What you will make:

  • We will be baking cream puffs filled with vanilla flavoured whipped cream

  • We will continue with some chocolate macarons filled with chocolate ganache

  • Finally, we will make some easy and delicious pistachio financiers

Where do the classes take place?
The classes take place in my home kitchen located in Hampstead, NW London. It's a cosy and modern environment, fully equipped to host a small group of people who wants to improve their baking skill and meet likeminded people.
How do I get to your place?
My place is easily accessible by tube (Northern, Jubilee and Metropolitan line), bus or overground (Finchley road and Frognal station). Pay and display parking is also available in the nearby streets.
Do I need to have previous experience to book this class?
You don't need to have previous baking experience to book this class, you just need enthusiasm and passion! I'll guide through the process step by step and you will be surprised of what you can achieve!

Valeria's baking class was so interesting. We learned to bake 3 different items and she explained through each of them step by step. We were encouraged to ask questions and clear doubts. She also offered lot of baking tips, which made it better to understand why we are doing something a particular way. She also explains how to look for signs to know when the process is going right/wrong. Valeria made our group feel at home and offered wonderful coffee & biscotti during our break. An afternoon well spent!

The class was so fun. Can't believe we made 3 different desserts in 3 hours. I appreciated Valeria going through the science of the cooking, it helped me understand the process better. I never thought I could make such pretty macarons!

Your Teacher

Valeria is an Italian baking teacher based in London. She started as a self-taught baker before receiving her professional training and working as a baker and cake decorator in a bespoke cakes parlour. Valeria's expertise ranges from cakes to patisserie and desserts of all sorts, with a special focus on Italian baking.

She teaches classes for all levels, both in-person and online. Valeria's baking experiences are jam-packed with useful info, hands-on and take place in a very welcoming and relaxing environment.
