The festive season is upon us, and what better time to make your own colourwork fair isle ornaments! Fair isle sweaters are a timeless winter garment with roots in the Shetland islands and popularised by the Royals in the 1920s. In this one session class we will learn the basics of colourwork knitting, using traditional Fair Isle peerie motifs. We will cover how to knit colourwork with one and two handed methods, tension tips and tricks and how to read charts and patterns. There is a bonus Norwegian Rose pattern included. This class is for knitters who are confident with knitting and purling, some previous experience of knitting in the round is advised.

If you already know how to cast on/off and know how to knit and purl this class will be ideal for you. With Sharon's guidance she will enable you to develop your skills and technique and build confidence. Full instructions will be provided to each participants to take home.
