Be coached by a professional artist as you work through an acrylic painting that is totally unique to you.

The class starts with pencil and paper based warm-up exercises to help you find your creative flow before moving onto your paintings.

Then, we invite you to select a photo on your smartphone to paint. We'll connect you up to your personal projector, which will cast your image down onto your canvas board for you.

Working on top of the light, you'll be able to quickly and effectively outline your image so that you can get painting in no time.

It's a brilliant way for absolute beginners through to more advanced artists to find their creative flow effortlessly.

Your class includes all your materials, a complimentary alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink and a sweat treat.

We give out optional biodegradable gowns to protect your clothing and we recommend not wearing your Sunday best... (paint stains are real)

Coached: Studio Painting Experience

We provide weekly art classes to adults, personalising the programme to each individual student.

You have the option to book one or multiple sessions and attend on a weekly or ad-hoc basis; whatever works best for you. In your first session, we will explore some drawing techniques followed by starting an acrylic painting on canvas.

By personalising the programme individually, you are able to learn and develop at your own rate. Our aim is for you to explore and experiment with a range of mediums such as watercolour, acrylics, pastels, inks, oils, etc; to develop your drawing skills in many different ways; to try out 3D activities and to have fun in the process!

Although there is flexibility in the course, there is also structure for the less experienced artist who is looking to learn a new skill. The classes are lead by talented artists who are able to teach and assist you with new techniques or provide you with ideas if you are more experienced.

We discuss inspirational artists from the Impressionists to David Hockney to Ann Blockley, who is a vibrant watercolour artist, and we experiment using their techniques.
Teaching and supporting you is the main priority! There will never be more than 10 students to 1 teacher.

For the evening classes, if you’d like to bring a bottle of wine or a drink to share with friends, please feel free to do so.

lease note: Our sessions run in line with school terms. Upon booking, we will contact you to choose your main class + start date (Mondays 1:00pm-2:30pm, Tuesdays 7:00pm-8:30pm or Thursday 10.30am-12pm). You must use your block booking within the next 12 weeks that our classes are running. (September-December, January-April, May-July)

Weekly Art Classes

A sketching & painting class designed for children ages 7-12. At MasterPeace we make creativity intuitive, playful, and rewarding, with a focus on confidence building.

We will begin the class with a few fun creative exercises, warming up our wrists and our imagination, experimenting with colours, lines and textures.

The class will be hosted and guided by one of our child-focused professional artists. Your children will learn to draw and paint with a local master of the craft with brand new artist materials. They will be given the space to connect over their shared love of play and creativity. These classes are capped at 6 guests, ensuring lots of attention!

We give out optional biodegradable gowns to protect the kiddies' clothing but we also recommend wearing scruffy clothes... (paint stains are real)

With step by step instruction method you will feel at ease even without a single stroke of painting experience. With Katya’s expertise and relaxed approach even complete beginners will be able to produce a wonderfully personal piece by the end of the day.
Whether you are an absolute beginner or someone who wants to improve the painting / drawing techniques this day course will help you  get up and running . We will cover all the basics such as palette set-up, types of brushes , mediums, painting surfaces , paints and various ways of beginning a painting.  For the more advanced students we can focus on anatomy , colour and composition theory, advanced painting techniques such as glazing , grisaille, alla prima , etc   .
You can expect one to one tuition and to really develop your painting skills as Katya teaches you a variety of techniques. You will enjoy lunch midway through your private painting class, refueling your mind for an afternoon of arty fun as you work on completing your painting. Your finished art piece can be inspired by beautiful views of London , portraiture , life models or by your own images/photographs or materials provided in the class .

Experiment and surprise yourself with the infinite possibilities that watercolours can offer with the help of the artist - Maria.
With a video tutorial Maria will guide you step-by-step into the delicate world of watercolours and help you complete your own version of Venus in bloom.

First we will practice some of the fundamental watercolour techniques and how to tame this wonderful medium.  You will learn about the different watercolour strokes, mixing colours, and experiment with some of the most exciting watercolour techniques - colour gradient and using negative space.

You will then have a chance to apply those techniques on a pre-sketched watercolour paper and create your own version of the design.

Watercolour painting kit - Venus in bloom

This class is aimed to give children (5-12yrs) from all backgrounds  a chance to experiment, have fun and get creative in abstract artist Georgie Mason's studio on Stepney City Farm.

Georgie believes learning to explore and follow one's intuition from a young age is crucial to a healthy and rich development into adulthood. This class provides a safe space for children to get messy, meet others, be in a rural environment and most importantly, be themselves :)

The class is 2 hours long and begins with a wander round the farm, sketching things we see including the animals. Then we will head into the studio and start with some warm up exercises - for example expressive mark making to various different styles of music, collaborative pieces aka 'Squiggle Drawings', and drawing each other without taking the pen off the page - all great ice-breakers :)

Then we will work on a larger collaborative piece inspired by the farm - either the animals or the plants/trees. Finally we will each work on our own piece inspired by what we've learnt.

Children will be able to take home a final piece that they have created on paper - I can provide a link to affordable frames if you require.

Georgie has taught art to children for over 10 years in various locations across the UK. She loves working with kids and is hugely inspired by their energy and imagination.  She looks forward to welcoming your children to the studio.

Paint on a Farm for Children

Come along to this monthly meet up and get to know fellow weavers just like you in the neighbourhood.

This club is for keen tapestry weavers who already have a basic understanding but want a little hands on help, advice and some good chat on a regular basis.

The gang get together once a month on a Wednesday evening.

Bring along your work in progress, schnacks and a drink and lets solve all the problems of the world while we weave our worries away.

You can use everything in the studio, every yarn on the wall and the rainbow in roving, spare needles, scissors combs, good chat and herbal tea too.

I know you don't need an excuse to leave the house but this is a pretty good one!

Weave Club

We provide weekly art classes to adults, personalising the programme to each individual student.

In this one-off art session, you will choose from a variety painting or drawing projects and go home with a completed piece of art! You have the choice of creating a beautiful Ann Blockley watercolour painting, a John Waterhouse tonal stain painting or a gorgeous negative animal drawing (inverting the natural by drawing with white on black paper).

Our art sessions take place in a relaxed and supportive environment. Whether you are a complete beginner or a more experienced artist, we can help you build artistic skills and gain some precious time back for yourself!

Teaching and supporting you is our main priority! There will never be more than 10 students to 1 teacher.

Art Class and Wine Glass

Vitray Art or glass painting workshops teach you to create a combination of coloured glass with Vitray paint and gold leaf. Vitray classes teach both visual artistic skill and creativity and enable these decorative parts to come together on a transparent glass surface.

For Vitray Art classes you don't need to have any art background or you can be a professional artist. What make these classes special is that everyone can enjoy art together, the only feature you need is passion for art.

This glass painting workshop does not involve cutting glasses but teach you the Vitray drawing and Patine painting. In addition, Ava, your teacher, will discuss your preferences and provide you with the patterns you would like to work on.

In this workshop you will learn the patterns first, then you will be taught how to draw them on the glass with a gold colour outliner. Then with Vitray paint and good leaf you will create your art in an artistic and enjoyable way.

Vitray classes are suitable for everyone.

Painting on Glass (Vitray)

If you've had a taste of working with stained glass and are keen to take it to the next level, this is the ideal class for you. Over two days you will learn to mix glass paints and enamels and apply them to glass using a range of techniques. We'll cover everything from traditional outlining and shading, to more experimental mark-making. Using the kiln, these painted pieces will be fired to become permanent.

You will go home with completed painted stained glass pieces, which can be leaded into a window or panel during the workshop or at home, depending on how ambitious you have been! You will also have several experimental glass paintings and samples to take home.

Each class is deliberately quite small and intimate, so that everyone can benefit from bespoke teaching. This will be the case whether you want to make a traditional painting or something more experimental. And of course, the classes are informal and fun!

Stained Glass Painting - Weekend Introduction

Nothing says Christmas is here quite like hanging your own handcrafted decoration on the Christmas tree.

Get into the festive spirit in this fun social evening workshop, taking place in our special yuletide pop-up next door to our boutique in Brixton, South London.

Learn how to use glass paints to make your own Christmas designs on glass baubles whilst enjoying mulled wine and Christmas tunes. There will be tonnes of resources to help you design your baubles and Jude our teacher will guide you step by step in using the specialised glass paints.

You will make 3-4 unique decorations to take away with you.  You are welcome to take them away with you that night, but we recommend you leave them to dry overnight and pick them up at your convenience from the pop-up, open 10.30am-6.30pm every day until the 23rd of December.

Glass Bauble Painting Workshop

Glass painting is much more difficult than it looks. It is not digital nor computerised so may take some learning. The good news is that our professional tuition through classes and courses can see you achieve your glass painting proficiency in no time.
