She will even advise you on how to control the shape of your cupcake depending on whether you want a ‘peak’ or a ‘flat’ top. Spend the day with Cookie Girl in her North London kitchen where you will try your hand at a variety of icing techniques from sugar paste roses to fondant domes and you get to take your beautiful creations away with you at the end. In this class No previous cupcaking/decorating/piping skills are needed.just turn up and enjoy! You won't spend your time faffing about with cake mixture or oven timings - no no that's not why you are here. Cookie Girl (also known as Xanthe) will have prepared the cupcakes earlier in the day so you can focus on what you came here to do - getting creative. All it takes to become a pro is: learn the right way to fill a piping bag (yes, there is a wrong way to do it) make a sugar paste use cutters to make flowers, leaves and lattice effects the classic swirl, the rose swirl, the two tier and the iced gem techniques sprinkles and decorations are all fun and games, but sometimes less is more! Everything is provided by the Cookie Girl; including aprons, tea, coffee and cupcakes, so all you need to do is bring yourself and buckets of enthusiasm. n this exciting new workshop you will learn how to beautifully decorate 6 cupcakes (as pictured) including buttercream piping skills and fondant work. Each cupcake will teach you new techniques which you can use on your future cupcake or cake projects. The cost is only £65 and all materials, including the cupcakes are provided, and you'll have 6 delicious cupcakes to take home.

Come along and have some fun with your fellow classmates learning how to decorate some deliciously yummy cupcakes. During this class, you will watch a demonstration from your teacher on how to make buttercream and learn how to handle and colour it along with filling piping bags and fitting the piping nozzle, all without making a huge sticky mess! When this has been mastered the class will progress on to learning how to pipe the buttercream successfully. You will then decorate 6 vanilla cupcakes with these new found skills. You will learn 6 different piping techniques during the class so you can let your creative juices flow by decorating each cupcake with a bespoke design! There are no rules, it's about having fun so you can either make all the cupcakes look identical for a coherent finish, or you can have a different design on each cake! You will also make some easy beginner sugarpaste flowers and leaf toppers to add finesse to your cupcake creations. When the class is finished you will take all of your cupcakes safely home in a special cupcake box to enjoy with your friends and family.
