Creating Eleanor is now hosting a series of Calligraphy Practice Evenings monthly where you can come and develop your new skills, discuss a project and sip on cocktails! Eleanor will be on hand to talk you through your pen progress, giving you advice on anything you've been struggling with. A perfect opportunity for anyone who has been to a calligraphy class, or even a self taught letterer to practice in a fun and relaxed ink filled evening. Please note: Materials will not be provided, however, you are free to purchase additional inks, nibs, paper and pens available during the evening. There is no formal tuition available on the night, but lots of on hand guidance from your host Eleanor, a lettering artist and illustrator, and the chance to make new friends!

In this modern calligraphy improvers workshop designed to follow on from a beginners class, your teacher, lettering artist and illustrator Eleanor, will introducing you to more advance tools and techniques discussing various materials and styles, in an aim to develop your lettering technique at your own pace with lots of one-to-one time. Within this workshop you will be given a set of professional-grade materials, including an oblique pen holder, two new nibs, a new pot of ink, guide sheets and the chance to practice on different papers with colourful pigment inks. Each class is tailored to the individual and core needs of the group looking at what you would like to work on to improve your overall modern calligraphy technique, as well as developing your own signature style by exploring spacing, joining and proportions. You're welcome to bring you own projects you might be working on.
