I had such an enjoyable time during my art session with Sarah in Portugal. It was the first time in a very long while that I had drawn anything and Sarah made me feel comfortable about doing so and asked questions to really make us think about what we were looking at and what we wanted to achieve with our creations. The time passed so quickly and I found it so relaxing and enlightening, so nice to switch off from technology and the busyness of life and take time to really look at things. I would definitely recommend a session with Sarah.

Thank you Sarah for a lovely morning spent in Portugal creating some artwork. I haven’t really painted a picture since school but Sarah was so encouraging and positive and guided me gently into creating something I was really pleased with. For me the real positive was how much I enjoyed the time doing it - I felt so relaxed and happy and didn’t think about anything other than the task at hand for a couple of hours !

Sarah was amazing - the 121 session blew me away. I was totally absorbed from the time we met to the end of the session and, with Sarah’s encouragement, I stepped out of my comfort zone and embraced different art & creativity. It was mindfulness in its truest and most natural sense! I would 100% recommend this to anyone.

The Art Room was always the most popular room in school. It was the cool room; messy, smelling of paints and bubbling over with freedom and permission to be exploratory. Artist Sarah B Davies aims to bring that excitement, anticipation and delight into the sessions she runs. The Art Room is where we can make space and time for our own art. Whether virtually in our own homes or live and in person, Sarah brings the thrill of The Art Room through gorgeous materials, permission to explore and make a mess. The Art Room offers: Creative wellbeing sessions; Art workshops…

Wonderful session conducted in Portugal. Sarah was a brilliant teacher; so encouraging and made me feel so comfortable (art is not my strongest suit). So happy with the results of what I produced and the relaxation it brought. Would definitely recommend

My art one to one involved paper folding using handmade papers to create my own 8-page book. I was then encouraged to recall a family event in my life and asked to explore why this memory remained significant - what senses were ignited during this memory: sounds, smells, textures etc. I filled the first pages with drawings inspired by this memory. I was then asked to detail the journey to that place in my memory, creating an adventurous map that filled more pages of my book. My book ended with a letter written to myself, promising to reconnect with family which was something niggling at me under the surface. There was no criticism of my style or ability, Sarah explores the personal story not the skill or method. She spent the whole time making something too so that the focus was never solely on me, but on what we could agree on together. What a wonderful experience and a truly unique piece of art as a result!
