This beginners class will give you the opportunity to demystify all those functions on your camera so that you are able to take control of your photography and move away from Auto.
You will:
learn about the 3 most important features of your camera when it comes to creating a photograph: ISO, Aperture and Shutter Speed, as well as a few extras along the way.
see photographic examples from the past masters which will give you a clear picture (no pun intended!) of the choices they made when setting up a shot.
have the opportunity to practise what you have learnt and will leave the session feeling more confident that you can control your camera rather than your camera being the one to make all the decisions!

How to Use Your DSLR Camera - 1 to 1 Beginners Photography

In this 3-hour workshop, you will learn basic leather craft skills to make your very own personalised leather card holder. You will be guided how to, stitch, bevel, add a closure before finishing off your completed wallet with your or a loved one's initials using a hot foil stamp.

You will be guided to make your very own personalised leather wallet. Choose from a selection of reclaimed leather and a variety colorful stitching thread, to make your wallet truly unique. Chanelle will guide you on how to hammer stitching holes and use the ancient art of the saddle stitch to craft your wallet. Finishing off your completed wallet with your or a loved one's initials.

How to Start an Interior Design Business

Learn to create a perfect replica of a real leaf in delicate solid silver to make earrings, pendants and charms.  As unique as nature is, each piece will be completely unique to you.

Choose a leaf from a selection provided or bring a few along with you.  If bringing your own leaves, please bring a variety as some leaves may not be suitable.   It is ideal to look for leaves that have veins and detail on the back for example Oak, Beech, Strawberry, Maple etc.  Unsuitable leaves are ones with a smooth, waxy or furry surface for example Ivy, Holly, Tomato.  All leaves must be alive and not dried.

The best part is that, after the workshop, you can easily replicate this workshop at home to make beautiful gifts.

Skills taught :: Working with PMC Silver Clay, firing silver clay, burnishing, finishing techniques

** All tools are provided except for the silver.  The silver required to make your jewellery can be bought on the day, payment by cash or card. Material cost is based on weight of your finished pieces.  You are able to make as many leaves as time allows.  As a rough guide approximately £3 of silver is required for a small leaf to £10 for a large leaf.

Learn How to Quilt while creating your own lap/cot sized quilt using your own guided layout and method choices.

You will learn about each stage of quilting. Designing, Cutting, Patchworking, Quilting (stitching the quilt layers together) and Binding, with choices of methods to trial before you decide which you will use on your very first quilt!

At the end of the course there will be a chance to share ideas about what kind of quilt you’d like to make next, and where to find additional resources.

Suitable for anyone who can stitch a straight line on a sewing machine.  Our tutor Anna, is an experienced tutor from The Sewing Nut Studio and has even appeared on the television demonstrating a quilt on  Sewing Quarter
