  • learn about the 3 most important features of your camera when it comes to creating a photograph: ISO, Aperture and Shutter Speed, as well as a few extras along the way.
  • see photographic examples from the past masters which will give you a clear picture (no pun intended!) of the choices they made when setting up a shot.
  • have the opportunity to practise what you have…

I had no prior photography experience - explained how to use my own camera and understand each function as well as trialling some photos with tips! very helpful

Had the most wonderful and informative session with Louise. She is patient, extremely knowledgeable and explains things in a clear and relatable way. Louise helped both myself and my partner in the process of navigating our own style of photography. Could not recommend her more!

This class was brilliant from start to finish, Lou really helped me to understand the basics of photography and what makes the perfect shot. From explaining how to utilise settings on my camera to how to change for different circumstances has left me much more in the know and ready to take on tougher shots using manual settings. Thank you Lou, I'll be coming back for further lessons on composition.

Louise Morris is one of nature's natural teachers. In her case her instinctive sense in photography and technical knowledge gives meaning to the phrase the art of seeing. She will guide you to framing shots in a unique way but at no time be condescending or haughty, as so many artists can be. A privilege to learn with her.

I learned a huge amount from Louise. I started my photography a few years ago and because of Louise's amazing and insightful tuition, I am now better equipped to carry out my shoots. The detail in which she was able to help me better understand both the technical and artistic side of photography was fantastic. She helped understand how to solve issues I was experiencing with lighting, positioning, composition and my camera settings, amongst other things. I love that she believes it is not always about the equipment you are using, but more about how you are using it. I thought at one point I may need to change my camera to get better results, however Louise helped me understand that this is not always the case. Sometimes it is just about a few setting changes, moving your position and the light you are working with. Louise is extremely patient, kind, thoughtful and a joy to be around. She always helped me feel at ease. I would recommend her all day long! Thank you Louise for helping become a better photographer.
