Ms Gaye cookery course was very constructive, most informative. She taught me in patiently, with her simple and easy way, the skilled she has to making a good and healthy bread. She such a professional cheff for bread and etc. I thoroughly enjoyed my day. I will use my new found knowledge and all that her taught me to move forward in my future life. Thank you for your kindness Ms. Gaye. Love you. Arfiata Lubis (Tata)

My wife and I had a wonderful experience a number of years ago with Gaye at her introduction to bread making class. The session included education/theory and actual baking (bread, pancakes). This introductory class was all we needed - kitchenware advice, techniques, confidence and most importantly Gaye’s starter - to start making our own delicious Sunday sourdough loafs! We had this starter with us for 6 years before we had to transition to a new country. Gaye was more than happy to ship us some of dehydrated starter to begin baking bread in our new home stateside! We feel very lucky to have met and worked with Gaye - this is a great class for all people - including those that are maybe slightly curious about the bread making process - Gaye made us believers!

I jumped in and took the How to Start Your Own Microbakery course with Gaye. It was a leap of faith for me as I didn't now whether I would be up to the mark. Gaye gave me confidence in my baking abilities and I learned a lot about baking and running a small baking business. She is knowledgeable and patient and encouraging and serves delicious lunch.

What can I say! From the moment I arrived to the moment I left it was all about me getting the most out of the course. Gaye, welcomed me into her home and made me feel at ease. The itinerary for the two days was clear, but in no way fixed. Gaye introduced me to the basics of bread making and then tutored me, whilst allowing me to make mistakes and learn, in the production of a variety of breads. No question was left unanswered and I was never left feeling I should not have asked that question. Gaye’s experience and knowledge was key to me opening my own micro bakery. I still hear Gaye’s advice when I question what I am doing. To top things off, each day we had a freshly prepared healthy lunch. Before you ask, there was bread on the menu. To finish my review, if you want to learn bread making skills in a welcoming and relaxing environment! I suggest you book soon to avoid disappointment!

I look back on the class I took at Sticky Mitts with really fond memories. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience, with Gaye sharing a great deal of useful, practical, down-to-earth advice and encouragement. I returned home raring to go. Perhaps the best accolade I could give Gaye is that I have been making bread ever since, and my family and friends love it.

Gaye Fisher is the wonderful baker behind Sticky Mitts. I spent a lovely weekend baking a selection of bread items including fresh pizza for lunch. In the relaxed atmosphere of her beautiful Surrey home kitchen Gaye's friendly and very informative advice paved the way for me to set up my very own micro bakery "knowyourloaf." Thank you Gaye.

My husband and I took Gaye's bread course and thoroughly enjoyed it. Gaye is passionate about bread and a wonderful teacher. Her 'class's in her house are in a warm environment and very practical. We came away from the course inspired and confident that we could make great tasting bread.

Gaye at Sticky Mitts set me on the road to my successful micro-bakery business, training me in various up to date bread making techniques and the knowledge to be able to start up my bread business. Gaye was a lovely, patient teacher, informal but able to instil much confidence. The setting was lovely and the 2 day course included lovely lunches, as well as generous on-going support and information sharing. If you want a friendly, relaxed and lovely experience learning to make bread, Gaye's your woman!
