Improvers' Spoon Carving - Full Day

Want to take your greenwood carving to the next level? Made a few spoons, and wondering where to go from here? This FULL-DAY WORKSHOP will equip you to progress onwards and upwards in your spoon-making journey. As well as recapping on best practise techniques, we will look more in depth at spoon proportions, adding in the ‘crank’ element and looking at decorative options – added features/bark handles/asymmetrical designs. Starting with a freshly cleft section of a log, we will carve an EATING SPOON for you to take home and try out on your morning bowl of porridge…

We will be working outside - though we will have a covered area - so please come prepared for all weathers. Please wear walking boots/work boots if possible, or trainers if not. Please don't wear bare feet, crocs or open-toed shoes.
