What happens in this class?

Use metallic foiling to print fabulous t-shirts, unique fabrics, beautiful cushions and lots of other creative projects. Foiled fabrics are washable, long-lasting and very easy to hand print at home. It's also a stunning way to embellish your sewing and embroidery work. You will be able to choose from gold, silver, copper and coloured foils and Gabriela will show how to use these creatively through stencilling, stamping and painting. I really enjoyed the class with Gabriela. The venue was very comfortable. Gabriela taught the skills very clearly and provided support and ideas. There were lots of options to try out (including different kinds of stencils or making your own) and many colours of foils, so everyone made something different. Gabriela provided more information the day after the class about how to source materials, which was really helpful. Gabriela provides pieces of fabric to print on, but no finished, usable items such as scarves or tote bags. Personally, I think doing so would improve the class - I took my own scarf to work on, which made all the difference. I love the piece I made! I would definitely recommend the class as a way to try out and experiment with a new technique, and take home samples for future inspiration. I think the foiling effect has great impact, and I will definitely use it on fabric projects in future.

Gabriela was very welcoming. Her knowledge about the subject is very good. Her way of teaching is excellent and clears all the doubt. I would love to attend more classes with her in near future.

The class yesterday was brilliant! Only four of us so lots of one-to-one help and the results - foil printed fabric - is beautiful. It's so nice to sit peacefully and play around with glue and scissors and forget the clamour for three hours! Much recommended.

It Was a little rushed trying to do things in an hour but it was interesting and informative. Gabriela was friendly and took us through the process step by step. It was good to have been sent the materials in advance.
