I had an excellent time attending the full day Indirect method workshop. To have the opportunity to learn from Giulia as an expert in her trade was a delight. Thoroughly enjoyed myself and would highly recommend. I took away from this class far more than just my made mosaic.

A wonderful workshop guided by the talented Julia. Take some time out of reading chaos to trace a beautiful design, pick your colours and create a mosaic magic in a meditative tranquil setting. I will definitely be back xx

Interesting to know the difference between indirect and direct techniques. Also, it was fun to see how working with glass squares for the mosaic was tricker than the mattes square ones. Giulia was lovely and welcoming. She was great in giving advice as you worked on your piece. She was really informative and very accommodating. It was great to see her working on pieces whilst we worked. Provided tea/coffee/water and biscuits. The workshop was a lovely environment to work in. She also took pictures of us whilst we worked throughout the day- which was wonderful as we got pictures to remember the day along with the mosaic! Would definitely recommend the workshop.

A great fun day out, I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Guilia. I learnt a lot too and came away with a real sense of achievement having completed my own mosaic panel! Guilia is an excellent teacher, very friendly, patient and experienced. The small class size results in a much more personal and flexible approach. The location near Holborn is great too. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone irrespective of their experience in mosaics (or none as in my case!) Have a go you will not regret it. Thank you very much Guilia!!

I had a great day at South London mosaic studio - I was really impressed with how much I had learnt in only 8 hours! Giulia was really supportive and encouraging in all stages of the course, and offered extra help when needed. The studio was well-equipped with the tools we needed to use to make our mosaic and the materials were of very high quality. Whilst we were cutting and laying out tiles, Giulia was telling us all about the origins of mosaic, different techniques and her personal work. Her knowledge and passion for mosaic is extensive and certainly made me want to continue learning more about the artform.

Giulia is hugely knowledgable and experienced, a real expert in her field who is able to transmit her passion for the craft and the range of techniques clearly and with great enthusiasm. Her beautiful studio is well-equipped with everything you need to make your own piece of mosaic. Time really flew by as we drew out our designs, learned how to cut and arrange tiles and then mix concrete to assemble the final framed work. I particularly loved selecting the colours of beautiful tiles for my design, and seeing the 'big reveal' as the piece is refined and completed. Giulia is really encouraging and was on hand to help with the inevitable challenges that arise when learning new skills. I've always admired mosaic- from Roman to Victorian examples, so it was fascinating to hear about how they are made and gain insight into the skills of the mosaicist. I was extremely proud to bring home my finished work and explain all the techniques i had learned in just one day.
