What happens in this class?

This class is a great introduction for those who have recently bought or are thinking about buying a sewing machine for themselves or their child! Of Course dad's, grandparents, carers and aunties are all welcome too! It is really important as your child learns to sew, to have an adult who has some knowledge of the machine to be able to assist your child when stuck and also so you can get the most enjoyment out of using the machine yourself! It is also just as important to be confident that your child is able to use the machine…

I attended the Mummy and Me Sewing Workshop with my 11 year old daughter. It was really well run, the teacher was great and very knowledgeable - we both came away with lovely Tote bags, which we love and use all the time! Would definitely recommend!

In the words of my 10 year old daughter ‘Epic’ My daughter has always shown an interest in using a sewing machine. I had bought one for us to use but was never really comfortable with setting it up. After a class with Rachel, that had all changed. Rachel was welcoming, highly knowledgeable and very good at teaching both adults and children. Not only did we understand our sewing machine but we even made a tote bag. After the class we headed straight to Kingston to buy some fabric to make some more. She’s started making gift bags for birthdays!
