I attended an Begineer's class and how to use my sewing machine.It was great expereince and got exactly what I wanted to learn from this class and feel more confident with my sewing machine. The teacher was absoluately fantastic to say the least, extremely informative, patient, friendly and made you feel at ease.A lovely bright and comfortable venue.

SamuelAmazing all round experience for a 7th birthday party! From the efficient booking system to the quick and helpful phone conversation I had to confirm details a few days before. The location was great and the venue perfectly equipped. The staff were so lovely and patient and went above and beyond (the cup of tea for adults was just what was needed!). The slime making activity was just the right amount of time and kept the kids busy for the whole 1.5 hr period before they ate. I also loved that all food was provided, included for those with allergies. Such a fun and easy party option, Iām hopeful to come again next year! Thank you!

The pizza was a hitāand a perfect energy boost. The staff was incredibly helpful and patient, making sure everyone felt included and had everything they needed. All the children left with big smiles and unique creations to take home. A truly memorable experience that was fun, organised, and filled with laughter! Highly recommend! CaraAnother fabulous evening art club where I learned how to make the most beautiful window decals. I hope that this might be repeated with a Christmas theme in the coming weeks. The crafting was gentle and cathartic and the social aspect of the workshop added to the all round experience. Area and biscuits were welcome indulgences Will be back in November.
Amanda HillmanMy daughter had her 9th birthday party with Craft My Day Worcester Park at the end of September. Her and her friends absolutely loved it! The kids all had a great time making slime and the instructors were brilliant with the kids. The whole process from start to finish was excellent and when I needed to add additional guests or food to the party, communication was quick and everything was confirmed within the hour. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants a stress free party!

GeorgeI have a lovely time in my first ever sewing workshop session yesterday with Rachel in the Worcester Park. The session lasted 2 hours and was really instructive for a beginner like me. Rachel is so very encouraging, great at building confidence and demonstrates a lot of humility and fun. Really happy I did this and I feel like I really build a foundation for a new skill at such a reasonable cost. Highly recommended!!!

BEven though the journey down to Thames Ditton was very long, the time spent making the Highland Cow was brilliant. We were welcomed with a warm cuppa and biscuits and a fantastic use for recycling plastic bottles. Mike, the mo cow, as it's been named by my great nephew, looks great in my living room. Thank you for such a great welcome and for teaching me something new. Bring these workshops up to Yorkshire.

Learnt a new stitch (not sure what itās called!) but been practising until I book again. Relaxed atmosphere with no pressure to achieve as everyone there had different levels of experience. Iām a novice and determined to improve my new skill with Andreaās help who is amazing at her craft.

Rachel took us through all the necessary steps, demonstrating the techniques but allowing each person the freedom to experiment and create their own unique interpretation of a sea scape. The studio was full of artwork which modelled finished pieces from the same workshop to inspire ideas alongside many pieces from other workshops too. Would definitely recommend this workshop and hope to book another class with Craft My Day in the future.

It was a fun afternoon and the cushions looked really good. All her friends were really pleased about being able to take their cushions home. Craft My Day also provided the party food and drinks. All we had to do was bring along the cake and goody bags. For anyone who is looking for a fun filled craft party, I can highly recommend Craft My Day. undefinedExcellent tuition from Andrea. I have very little experience in crocheting as Iām predominantly left-handed. Tried both left and right holding the crochet hook eventually deciding on left. Andrea is very patient, friendly and an amazing crocheter herself. I practiced casting on several times and then went on to do a number of rowsā¦ Andrea was on hand when I made numerous mistakes! Practising at home now and booked another session in April as Iām determined to get better (and faster) at this amazing craft.

If you are at all tempted by any of the sessions I highly recommend you give one a try. They are very relaxed and friendly and no matter what your previous art or craft experience you go home with something worthy of display. Not quite sure how they manage that so effortlessly but they do!! On your own or with a friend it's a lovely way to spend an evening.

JoyGood fun workshop, making a highland cow. There were 8 of us in the session and the tutor demonstrated the process a step at a time, with us then working on our cows. Such a variety produced but all looked great. The time went quickly and the tutor kept things moving well in the 4 hours. Powertex is a bit messy but aprons were provided and it washed off our hands fine. Good parking behind the Thames Ditton venue.

Would highly recommend this as there are so many options for the craft that the kids can make.

She did really enjoy it and all her friends loved creating their cushion- small drawback was the background colours of the cushions- she loves the colour turquoise and the templates showed turquoise but there wasnāt some of the template colours they could choose. She also thought she would be using the sewing machine to sew it up and didnāt get a chance, suggestion would be if itās sewing then to tell parent booking it- having the max amount of children means theyāre unable to sew up their own seams etc or just birthday person to sew up their own seam. Either way a really nice craft party!

I finally decided that enough was enough and signed up for this workshop, and I am so glad I did! It was exactly what I needed to get moving. The workshop was so well paced, and Janice did a great job of guiding us along. It's perfect for anyone who wants to crack on with some sewing but is too nervous about it to get started. I left the studio full of energy and confidence, and the bunting is (at long last) nearly finished!

They were all very patient as a fair bit of concentration was needed, which for 7 and 8 year olds was quite a lot of focus, but apart from a few minor pricked fingers they enjoyed it and were super proud of their cushions. HarbansAlways a lovely crafting session (I'd like it to be longer!). This session was a little basic, however a good idea -man's shirt-always need a male card! it would be nice to have individual equipment so as not to interrupt the 'flow of creativity' by having to ask to borrow a ruler/guillotine/glue each time. But great to leave with 3 cards in hand!

It was well organised and the kids had fun making 3 pots of different slime to take home. The ladies running it were friendly, helpful and great with the kids. The pizza also went down well and the kids enjoyed choosing songs on Alexa to play in the background. I would definitely recommend this place as a party venue if you child is into crafts. Toni McPhersonMy fourth class at Craft My Day and another lovely one! We could make pendants or earrings, choosing from four different types of crystals (mostly very cool rough-cut / raw), plus some other beads, with gold or silver-coloured wire and fittings. The technique is very visually striking, and gives lots of opportunities for personal choice and creativity, but Mandy teaches it so well that I was able to pick it up fairly quickly, so I made quite a few pendants, all of which I loved. I then turned some of the pendants into necklaces with some basic jewellery-making stuff I have at home. I love the pieces and have already had compliments! Mandy gave us lots of info on where to buy materials so we could keep making in future. She's an excellent teacher, and really lovely to talk to, and I'm planning to book more classes with her.

Ruth AllenCompletely out of my comfort zone - but what a wonderful experience! Have used Powertex before but not on this scale. The different transformations to the canvas were incredible- I wonāt spoil the surprise by telling you what the canvas was subjected to-but it all worked. Five very different canvases even though we all had the same brief āCityscapeā. Everyone had a brilliant time. Iām going to have to move soon to a bigger property with room for my Craft My Day projects! If in doubt just book - you wonāt regret it.

The only thing that would have been better was a bit more timeā¦ the class is 3hrs but 3.5hrs would have been better as I felt a bit rushed for time at the end. We spent a lot of time at the beginning learning how to cut the glass. Also a very small point but the website said light refreshments including biscuits, which would have been lovely but we didnāt get any.
Megan HorsleyI attended the Seascape Acrylic Pour workshop. Caldey, our tutor for the day, was excellent and explained and demonstrated the process clearly. She gave us the confidence to experiment with our own colour ideas. The whole morning was great fun, relaxing and messy! We all finished with very different colour schemes and styles but all were satisfied with the results. I can highly recommend this experience for everyone

No - Rachelās methods are SOOO much easier. I learnt more in the first hour than at my previous class. Fun and made as easy as possible by Rachel. I went home with a freemotion picture I am proud of! An excellent class even if you donāt know your needle from your bobbin. PS. Rachel, I have ordered the Freezer Paper - a complete revelation!

The two ladies doing the party were very attentive and helpful, and the girls all had a great time. Two Papa John's pizzas arrived (they are included) and they were huge, plenty to go around, they also put out some biscuits, cruditƩs and drinks (they also allowed me to take a few of my own bits of food for the fussy eaters). All in all, a great time was had and I would highly recommend.

pera BELLWe just had a 10th birthday party for my daughter at Thames ditton for 12 kids. We arrived 15 min before the party started, everything was laid already. The shop itself was really cozy and full of wonderful art work. The two ladies took charge of the whole party as soon as the guests arrived. We had a tshirt printing party for a mix group. There were plenty of stencils to choose from and boys and girls both found what they wanted on their T-shirts. The ladies gave very clear instructions to the kids and kept kids engaged throughout the party. Food was served warm and quickly. And all the T-shirts were dry before the party finished. I really couldnāt have asked for a better party. The team said We like to take the stress out of party planning, so you really do not have to do anything and literally it was totally stress free. I would definitely recommend Craftmyday. Definitely going there again. Thank you Craftmyday. X

I was all fingers and thumbs but did get to crochet a small grannies round. I must now practice more to get it into my head!! BenMy sons (age 8 and 11) attended 3 craft sessions over the summer holidays and really enjoyed them all. They made things and used materials that we donāt have at home and used their imagination to design their spell books/ lizards/ dragon eyes to their own design and colours. The wand and spell book was a particular favourite but they have enjoyed everything they have done here.

My daughter came home with an amazing completed project; they made bags. She was buzzing from the experience and wants to attend further sessions (we have booked another). The staff were so welcoming to her and praised her work as we left. They will also be running term time clubs with a whole range of projects, we will be signing up!

Amelia HoughtonI signed up to this class as It was a long time since I used a sewing machine and wanted to start sewing again. I felt a bit apprehensive at first l but I need not have worried as Janice put us all at ease and was very helpful if we were stuck at any point. We practiced on paper that had patterns such as hearts, and mazes so that we could become familiar with the sewing machine. We went onto practising on pieces of material before finally taking the plunge to make a tote bag. Janice guided us through each stage of the process and before we knew it we had all completed our bags! I was very proud of what I achieved and know I can go back and start using my sewing machine which has been sitting at home doing nothing. I would highly recommend this class to anyone who is thinking of taking up machine sewing for the first time or even if they have not done any sewing for a while.

Pattern made to size, material cut and sewn in just over 3 hours. Wonderful way to spend a morning would recommend this workshop.

This was my first time doing anything of the sort and it was so much fun using powertex to create a 3d textured underwater jellyfish piece. Rachel is such a wonderful and patient teacher! Katie DaveyAddictive and brilliant- I feel so lucky to have craft my day on my doorstep. Rachel is just so knowledgeable and enthusiastic and her experience shows in her ability to teach so well. This most recent class I attended was free motion embroidery. It was a 3 hour class and I made a bird out of fabric scraps. The class included the materials we needed , how to go about constructing your piece and then putting it together on the machine. I loved it and having help and guidance at hand made it so enjoyable. I was glad to have existing sewing machine experience and I have already bought an embroidery foot for my sewing machine. Thank you Rachel I really enjoyed the session.

I had absolutely no idea what to expect and at one point felt that I might not complete it in time. I did! Rachel is so enthusiastic and patient and just a brilliant tutor. I cannot recommend her sessions highly enough. Iām so happy with my finished cow and really impressed that I learnt so many new techniques. I definitely want to go back and make a gnome. CarolReally enjoyed it. Didnāt know what to expect of needle felting and not creative at all but with the nurturing guidance of Rachel I ended up with a sweet little mouse. Cup of tea and a biscuit gets you off to a good start and a friendly bunch of ladies completes the morning. Would recommend.

Sarah HallDid needlework at school and made a few pieces of clothing at home in my teens but hadn't made anything for 30 years+. It was a very good refresher course and I've ended up with a fab pair of green gingham trousers. Mine are leisure pants for the summer, mainly to wear around the house, although I wore them to a restaurant and friends were really impressed!

LizI really enjoyed this class. The teacher was knowledgeable, flexible and patient. There was plenty of time to complete a project, and I made something I really like. Learning to make the leaves is particularly useful, because you can make so many things using a really simple technique. The only reason I haven't given this 5 stars is because some of the bead stock and quality wasn't what I'd expected - although it was still perfectly nice to work with.

A.SMy daughter and I joined Rachel this morning for a lovely time. We enjoyed moulding clay shapes, sorting through so many bits and bobs, trimmings and materials to create our own unique pieces. We learnt how to use the powetex- Rachel says it's addictive- I can see why! It was amazing to see how a grey mess, once dried and a few marks of colour added was transformed into a beautiful piece of artwork.

The teacher first explained how the class was covered under COVID rules then we were shown step by step how to make a wreath using powertex material and gave us information on the history how powertex started . For someone is who very basic sewing skills Rachel was simply brilliant and teaching us tips and tricks along the way to increase our confidence. She's talented, kind and patient as well as wonderful company! Thank you so much - I can't believe I made the dress!

There was a calm relaxed friendly atmosphere in the small class.Itās something Iāve fancied doing for a while but not got around to it ,now I have the basic knowledge I feel confident to go ahead with other projects.In fact,Iāve already ordered some felting equipment to get me going!! Kirsty SampaioI was a complete beginner, I knew nothing about Powertex except that I wanted to use it in mixed media work. The teacher was knowledgeable, informative and very helpful and friendly. The venue was ideal for crafting - a large table in the centre of a clean, bright orderly room. There were lots of examples of previous work on the walls and other crafts too for inspiration. There were plenty of resources to choose from and the tutor guided everyone through the process. In the time we had. I learned a lot and put some of it into practice very quickly.

Ideal venue for a variety of crafts - bright and sunny, big table in the centre, lots of material to choose from and many art and craft items on the walls and around the room. Rachel was lovely - friendly, knowledgeable, helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Great value for money. I might well go again, even although itās on the other side of London. This was an afternoon well spent. Thank you Rachel!

Everything was provided without restriction (I was also encouraged to take some tiles, etc home so I could finish) and venue good. Tiffany was a great tutor, very helpful and encouraging. ElluriaI never expected a single class had so much scope for creativity! Really informative class and the skill was easy to pick up for the non-expert. Rachel was very knowledgeable and supported us all well, our final pieces completed in 5 hours and uniquely different from each other -I got a few new ideas from watching my classmates too! From one class alone I feel confident and can't wait to pursue new projects inspired by the material. I am very interested in coming back to Craft My Day to see what else I can take up.

LeonaThe PJ ( bottoms only) workshop review. Very nice studio with lots of light. Good Janome machine with a variety of stitches. Pleasant teacher. Workshop was extremely basic. I felt that it should have been advertised as a very basic beginners class. For three hours I had expected a more detailed pattern with at least a separate waistband. I finished one hour and fifteen minutes prior to the end of the class. I would have finished earlier if an overlocker had been made available. Used a stich (similar to an overlocker) which gave a good finish on the sewing machine but this was not as quick to use. However I was the only attendee and have been sewing for 18 months. A good class if you have none or little experience of sewing. A cloth copy of the two piece pattern used to make the Pajama bottoms was given to me as I asked but I was told that normally this doesnāt happen.

KirstyI had a great afternoon. Two other ladies had cancelled, so it was just me with Rachel - I had her full attention!! The two of us just sat there playing :-) Rachel seems to know a lot about many many crafts, so we sat there chatting and I was able to pick her brains about other projects as well. I was pleased that I was able to come away with a fully finished (bar drying completely, that is) project. I have been on other courses where it is almost impossible to finish what you are doing - as a result it sits in your cupboard waiting for you to finish it!! Definitely recommend - Rachel is great and very knowledgeable.

Louise RobertsThe Powertex Taster Workshop is the third craft class I have attended with Craft my Day (Mosaic workshop and Making a Cushion Cover being the others) and another five star success. Powertex is a fabric hardener and is used to create effects to decorate surfaces (in this first instance a bland picture frame) that with embellishments, painting and glazing techniques turn them into veritable works of art. Everything provided, including superb (and friendly) tuition and all materials. A very happy couple of hours spent doing this. Can't wait for the Autumn so that I can book some more.
Jo RichmondMade a powertex decorated picture frame using different textures and embellishments. Dry brushing colour to bring out the textures. Rachel was fantastic, warm, welcoming and friendly. The venue had lots of natural daylight.
IreneAn overall very enjoyable experience. The time seemed to wiz by. Learnt about threading a sewing machine, practised all the differenct stitches, sewing in straight lines and how to easily sew a perfect curve. Ended the class making a handy tote bag. Canāt wait to book another class.

JulieSuch a fun thing to do with friends! We were explained how to use the block prints and given ideas on various designs and colour combinations. Then it was up to us to design out own Tea Towel! Loved it! Our teacher was great, very friendly and relaxed and very informative.
VickyVery interesting class! I made a 1 foot tall sculpture I could take home with me! Great stuff, you learn all about Powertex - fabric hardening paint and powder inks. Happy to go again!
