    What you'll learn

    This fun and inspiring Susanna Wallis workshop will teach you the art of Christmas decorating, using micro glitter to take your festive spirit up a notch!

    In this class

    This workshop will cover the art of gilding, using glitter to transform decorations and gifts into classy and aesthetically pleasing treats.

    You will learn how to:

    • Prepare items to guild
    • Apply to the item using Dutch metal (gold leaf)
    • Apply micro glitter
    • Transform dull and uninspiring things into something that looks far more expensive

    Optional: bring along any small decorations or household ornaments to transform

    Now you can

    • Create wonderfully festive Christmas decorations
    • Expand on what you have learn during the class to experiment with different decorations
    • Start teaching friends and family what you have learnt

    In the past glitter has made from glass and insects. These days, glitter is typically made from plastic, including polyester, acrylic, thermoplastic and copolymer, with the addition of aluminium, iron oxide, titanium dioxide, or any other reflective material

    About your host, Susanna Wallis Arts and Crafts

    Susanna Wallis is an experienced teacher in the arts and crafts world, having been offering her expertise for the past 18 years.

    As well as her experience and skills covering a variety of crafts, she has designed and sold her work worldwide and has written two craft books. Her craft exhibitions include Country Living Fairs and the top textiles event Knitting and Stitching Show where she has also taught workshops.

    Susanna always makes her workshops fun and enjoyable and participants will make lovely designs, learn great skills to continue making at home and have fun memories of taking part.
