This was a fabulous course. Yiran is a positive, cheerful teacher with lots of patience for new students. She has a huge knowledge from her family heritage about shibori. We learned a variety of patterns and all the necessary stitching and binding techniques to get us started. Highly recommended!

This was a really enjoyable introduction to Shibori. I had no previous experience but felt by the end of the workshop that I could go off and practice and develop my new skills. Yiran was a great teacher- calm, clear and organised. I really enjoyed the cultural context she provided too. I learnt 4 types of stitch resist patterns and how to dye the cloth. The kit for the workshop was very useful too. Yiran showed me lots of inspiring examples of how you can use these simple techniques to great effect. I highly recommend this workshop- thank you Yiran for sharing your knowledge and skills.

I learnt a lot about this traditional technique and it was fascinating to learn how it is done and the things that are possible. Yiran was friendly, helpful and it felt a relaxed atmosphere to learn a new technique at your own pace. It is so helpful that you get sent a kit with everything you need, and really good value! Would definitely recommend.
