Glassblowing Full Day Masterclass

What an incredible experience! We were welcomed with a brew and friendly chat followed by health and safety, Beth is a great teacher, demonstrating and then supporting us one to one. We were able to make a paperweight, a bowl and a vase or glass. We could select our colour for the glass as well. The studio is lovely and gets very warm. Lunch is provided but take your own drinks and snacks for in between. As this is a 1:1 activity there is a lot of watching others and taking it all in, so prepare to get comfy. Toilets are on site and a cafe and souvenir shop. Parking is free and right opposite the studio. My glassware was received in the post 5 days later, brilliant! I cannot recommend this experience and Blowfish highly enough, such an incredible experience, thank you so much Beth!

I spent the day on the Glassblowing Masterclass course and had the best time from start to finish. Beth and Katie were so welcoming and the experience was fun, relaxed and informative. I have come away with a lot more knowledge and some helpful advice, I highly recommend and will definitely be returning! Thank you :)

What a fantastic Christmas present this was. This was on my bucket list for years and my day glass blowing didn’t disappoint in any way. Bethany and Katie were brilliant teachers. Extremely helpful and answered my many questions and helped us all to produce some beautiful glass pieces. I was thrilled with my bowl, vase and paper weight and delighted when it arrived home all securely packaged looking amazing. The lunch buffet was also delicious. Massively recommend this course. The gallery of there amazing work and talents is something special to see also.

Everything about the day was amazing. Stunning glass shop in a really lovely surrounding. Couldn't have wished for two better Glass artists to introduce us to this than Bethany & Katie. They were both outstanding in their ability to explain & support. Both so patient & knowledgeable. No questions were unanswered & we came away with a real respect for what glass blowing entails & also an understanding of how to do the basics. Highly recommended.

What an incredible experience! I was so looking forward to this Xmas present and it was even better than I expected. We made three pieces of glass using a variety of techniques and were guided and encouraged at every step. I'd explained that I suffered from arthritis and both Beth and Katie were able to support me when needed. I would recommend this to anyone, you don't need to be wonderful at crafts, just willing to have a go!

Had a fantastic day learning some of the basics of glassblowing with Beth and Katie on their Full Day Glassblowing class. Would 10000% recommend this and them to anyone who is interested in learning about glassblowing or just wants a fun creative day! Great as a gift for someone who likes creative activites as well. Beth and Katie were very welcoming, great teachers, and told us some really interesting things about what it's like to work in glassblowing. Had the best time! Can't wait to get a chance to do something like this again, ideally with the artists/teachers at Blowfish. Thanks Beth & Katie!

This day exceeded all my expectations of what I could achieve in a day as a complete beginner. Beth and Katie were fantastic teachers and I felt completely confident under their tutelage. They were both safety aware at all times and yet managed to create a relaxed and fun atmosphere for the whole day. I would highly recommend! A brilliant day.

Being a glass artist myself it has been on my list to try my hand at glass blowing. I was not disappointed. Such a great day with Beth and Katie who led the workshop. Their experience, knowledge and enthusiasm created a well organised, creative day with a relaxed yet fun atmosphere and great results from us all. Thank you so much, I look forward to returning. x

An eye opening experience to something new and unique that I had never tired before but was very intrigued on the process on making different types of glass. I recommend this to anyone who's open to something new and can handle a little heat :)

I bought the workshop as a present for my husband for being so supportive in my own glass journey. As soon as he watched Blown Away on netflicks, he was hooked and fascinated by the skill so I thought it was only fair to support him with his interest. We both thoroughly enjoyed our experience. It was even better than we imagined. Bethany and Katie are amazingly patient and fun to spend time with. We were taught three different skills and are already proud of what we achieved in a day. A fantastic day with excellent tutors. Beth and Katie are incredibly knowledgeable and skilled and are excellent teachers. Thoroughly enjoyed the day and looking forward to receiving my finished pieces.

The full day glass blowing was a gift to my husband after being hooked on the Netflix series Blown Away. It was a brilliant day and fascinating to experience glass blowing at first hand. We were guided through each process safely and in an enjoyably relaxed way and we each made made three uniquely personal glass pieces throughout the day. Thank you so much Bethany and Katie We're still hooked! 😊

Absolutely amazing day, didn’t want it to end!! Small group with two instructors (Kath and Beth). Great atmosphere and great conversations/ discussions about glass blowing. We made three items - a paper weight , bowl and a drinking glass. I’ve now got the bug and will be booking the return beginnners class. Oh a lunch was lovely too 😁

A really good day. The Blowfish Team, Elliot and Bethany, were very good at getting the skills across. Enjoyed making the three items; posted and arrived safely to my home 4 days later. Blowfish make some amazing stuff. Well worth a look.

Fantastic one day course in Glass blowing. Bethany and Eliot were so passionate and brilliant teachers. We did this as a group of friends. Highly recommend this.

The full day beginner masterclass was a fabulous experience. I'd wanted to try glass blowing for a long time and finally had the opportunity. I was in a group of 5 and the instructor, Katie had an assistant, Olivia. Katie was brilliant. It was obvious that she was very experienced and talented. She was hyper aware of what was going on around her, with 5 complete novices to keep an eye on and she kept us all super safe - no injuries from the extremely hot furnaces and glass. The instruction was spot on and was delivered confidently and with humour. I was feeling very tired by the end of the 6 hours, while Katie was alert to the end. The lunch was a lovely buffet style and gave us a chance to chat and learn about what had brought us all to Blowfish at the Red House Glass Cone for this experience. I am a local though 2 participants had travelled from Warwick and another from Germany! I am excited to collect my 3 finished pieces in a couple of weeks to see how the colours turn-out when they have cooled. I thoroughly recommend this experience to anyone wanting to experience glass blowing or any creative glass activity.

Absolutely brilliant, not just any old glassblowing experience, we got to work with top flight international glass artists who were so generous and friendly. We love our creations and can't believe the day whizzed by so quickly, really exciting. The one to one tuition plus watching everyone elses experineces meant we produced pieces to be proud of. We will be back!

Me and my partner thoroughly enjoyed our days glass blowing and are very excited to receive the items we made. Everything is demonstrated and explained well and you are helped every step of the way when making your glass items . I definitely recommend this course.

My sister and I absolutely loved this course. It was so enjoyable and really hands on. Beth, Kate and Eleri were all fab, we had such a laugh but felt completely safe and looked after at the same time. It's safe to say we're hooked and will be returning as soon as we can!

What a fantastic, fun day! The workshop looks amazing, situated right in the middle of an area full of history for glass makers - museums, shops, old kilns... Beth made us feel warm and welcome, and Huskie was an incredible instructor who helped us craft some fantastic pieces (even if you are a total beginner like me). There was a clear progression through the day, and everyone was engaged and having fun. I honestly can't wait to come back!

A truly once in a lifetime experience! If you thought glassblowing was only for people with strong muscles, it's just the weight of the broom, and it's a beautiful art full of gentle movement working with this wonderful material. This course was a full day of making and helping in a small group and taking home you own design. The lunch was fab, the fun with the experts and people was great, high highly high recommends this course if you fancy learning glass blowing!!!

Glassblowing has been a long held fascination for me and this workshop did not disappoint! Beth is a great teacher, constantly encouraging, directing and complimenting. Lots of hands-on time, flexibility with colours, designs , shapes etc - and time flies by! Great set up - small and personal - can’t wait to see my 3 unique glass pieces (paperweight, bowl and glass) when they’re posted back to me after cooling. Already looking to return to feed my fascination!

Wow, what a fantastic day! Booked a one day glass blowing course with my Daughter & we both absolutely loved it. Beth was so great at making what is a complex process seem easy & helped us through every step.
