In this hands-on one day workshop, experienced artist and gilder Estitxu Garcia from Filigrana Design , will teach you how to apply a variety of metal leafs on to glass using the traditional technique of Verre Eglomise.

You'll begin by learning the skills of gilding on glass using specialist tools and materials (all provided). Having mastered the basic techniques, you'll try your hand at distressing the gold and silver leaf to create a variety of finishes. Things to remember

All materials are provided.
The gilding process can sometimes be messy so make sure you're wearing clothes that you don't mind getting a bit dirty.
We will provide you with some sample designs but if you have a particular design in mind, please bring it along.
