It was a brilliant two day course. Lottie held our hands and encouraged us step by step. It was an escape from the norm and actually felt like a holiday And I came home with a lampshade! Love the little stitch we learnt and itching to make another! Thank you Lottie

The most amazing gathered lampshade making course, I learnt so much in 2 days, created the most beautiful lampshade and had such fun in the process. Lottie is a fab teacher and it's a very relaxed and jolly atmosphere. 10/10 would love to come back again and learn another new creative skill.

Fantastic two day course over the weekend. Friendly, relaxed atmosphere with calm instruction from the wonderful Claire. Really amazed that I left with a stunning shade which looks fabulous in my cottage. Highly recommend for anyone who likes being creative.

I recently attended Lottie’s gathered lampshade workshop. I’ve come away feeling confident that I could make my own lampshades, which is an amazing feeling. Lottie is very patient, helpful, and offers very useful insight into the business of lampshade making! It was a small class, and there was lots of individual attention. The atmosphere is great, we had plenty of interesting conversations about interiors, lampshades and life! Highly recommended.

I absolutely loved my two days learning how to make a gathered lampshade. We had a lovely time chatting as we sewed and it was a very peaceful rewarding couple of days. The course is taught very well and you leave with a lovely lampshade.! I cannot recommend the course highly enough.

Really enjoyed another class in happy, relaxed, bright studio. All the lampshades made looked great.
You get given another frame and binding, notes etc to take home so you can make a second lampshade pair. Highly recommended course.

The course was well structured and very well taught. The studio was light, warm and well equipped and the two days flew by. It was absorbing work in a friendly atmosphere and I came away with a lovely lampshade that I am amazed I made myself. I will definitely be making more shades, using lovely fabrics to update my lamps. I would highly recommend this course. I am not very good at sewing but I learned a lot and was really pleased with and enthused by the teaching and support. A very enjoyable and useful course.

I had a great time with Lottie and Clare on the lampshade making course. We all went away very happy with a finished and presentable lampshade which would compliment any room. Thank you for your patience, it is a laborious but incredibly satisfying process and I shall definitely go on and hopefully master the skill better.
We all received a good deal of individual attention according to our needs.
I would thoroughly recommend the course.

The course was very informative, perfectly structured and took into consideration everyone’s previous sewing experience. It was a pleasure to attend, the space is great for a small group and convenient to get to. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and knowledgable. The Gathered Lampshade 2 day course was great. Very professional and clear instruction, in a relaxed and friendly environment, in a cool part of London with terrific cafes for your lunch break. I was amazed that I and everyone on the class produced lampshades that you see in featured in interior magazines.

A great course led by an excellent tutor in a wonderful setting. Jane provided excellent tuition and took us through a complex process stage by stage. She was so generous with her knowledge and feedback. Workshop Minerva is a lovely setting that provides a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere to learn.
