  • how to set up a tambour embroidery hook
  • how to cast on and off basic stitch
  • how to add beading and sequin
  • how to prepare your design and adjust it on the fabric

I have wanted to learn this technique for many years. Severin was amazing. I was absolute rubbish, but she was so helpful and persevered with my lack of ability 😂. I had a wonderful time and by the end of the class I could do the basic stitch. I may never be as good as I think I should be but it has been a brilliant course so far. The class is small so we all had individual attention. Our tutor Severin has immense patience and her work is superb.

Really good class, lots of 1 to 1 attention. The technique is tricky to master but Severine is so helpful and encouraging. The work which can be produced with this technique is stunning. Highly recommend this if you like a bit of bling.

I’m about to do my 4th workshop with Remode. They have been informative, grounded in learning the fundamentals and run by patient, highly skilled facilitators. I really value Remode’s commitment to sustainability, it’s an essential feature of any ethical organisation’s purpose, but that it’s also passed onto workshop participants is impressive. I’m enjoying learning and being creative after such a long time, and motivated to make so many things. I just need to find the time! 😆

If you want to learn how to do this type of embroidery, then sign up with Severine. Her skill is superb and she is a most patient teacher. I really enjoyed the two workshops which are very good value but my skill was woeful. Severine is very encouraging. Others in the class achieved much more but I learned enough to take it further with practice.
