FAQs
What is the refund and rescheduling policy?
If we are given 7 or more days notice, we will reschedule you to future class. If we are given 6 or less days notice, we are unable to offer you a refund or reschedule as this is not enough time to resell your place. We do however allow you to send any friend or family member of your choice to the class in your place. We have a no refunds policy, due to our business being tiny! We hope you understand.
Can my child (6 years +) come?
Yes! Definitely! We think 6 year olds (and kids in general) make the best ceramic pots ever! They will need a bought ticket as they are using the same materials and slip glazes, which will lead to their beautiful pieces needing two firings in the kiln, just like everyone else attending. REMEMBER! This is a 4 hour class, so it could get a little boring for kids, but if they have a hankering for clay, we say go for it!
Can I lock my bike up or park my car at the studio?
Yes you can, we have parking outside our studio and bike stands outside too.
How long does it take for my pieces to be ready after the class?
So you will be able to collect your pieces or have them delivered after we fire them in the kiln (twice). This takes 3 to 4 weeks! But sometimes it can take longer, so please give us time :) We send out a text / email to tell you they are ready to collect.

A wholesome four-hours of crafting to a great playlist. We had time to make two pieces using the coiling technique and were given inspo on how to decorate using different textures and paint. Shout out to Stephanie (founder of Maison S.Sommet and the Ceramicists collective) who is hands-on, encouraging, attentive and sound company!

Loved this class!! Me and 2 friends signed up for a coiling class and had a lot of fun. Enjoyed that we had a lot of freedom but help was readily accessible and we could make as much as we wanted in the 4 hours. The lady who lead the class was very friendly and approachable (sorry can't remember the name!) Would definitely recommend.

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed this short course, thank you so much. We managed to complete four piece each. The instruction and support were very good. A few bar stools would be great as standing for that length of time can be quite tiring, but otherwise all good. We enjoyed meeting others on the course.

Our instructor (Lennie - apologies if I’ve spelt this wrong!) was amazing and genuinely moderated the session in the best way - chilled, easy going, creative, friendly and very helpful too. The best day!

Excellent class! So fun and well organised. The studio is lovely, bright and spacious and our teacher was a total gem. Super patient & encouraging. They were also very accommodating and let our 9 year old Labrador join the class -although her lack of opposable thumbs made it difficult for her to sculpt, she enjoyed watching us. Would definitely recommend. Lovely way to try out a new hobby while supporting local artists.

Excellent class, great teacher and nice relaxed atmosphere. Sculpted something I was really proud of. Would strongly recommend!

I had such a great time! The class was easy, relaxing and allowed you to let your creativity shine. Lennie was a fantastic teacher, on hand for even the silliest of questions. It was a great way to truly switch off from the world and focus on making a pot, mug, vase or anything you felt like that day. I would recommend this class so much! You won’t be disappointed :)

The class was only my partner and I with the teacher so it was very personal. She was very happy for us to get creative with our pots and provided the right amount of guidance. We managed to create 3 plant pots each and had tons of fun!

Really enjoyed class. Was able to make quite a large pot in time allocated. Looking forward to seeing what it will look like when glazed! 4 people in class which was a good number so enough attention to everybody. Considering doing one of their other classes.

The teacher was very informative and attentive to all our needs. The space we worked in was a lovely cosy space comfortably fitting 15-20 pupils which is good if groups of friends want to attend together. Being inside the studio with Stephanie felt like the best parts of being back at school where life was more carefree and relaxed!

A great day spending time in a professional studio environment. Filled with their commissions and personal works, it's an amazing place to learn. Both Kevin and Stephanie were super friendly and very hands on in helping me create my pot! I learned a lot about different types of clay, the best techniques to build in coil and even got to see all the different types of glazes that they use. They teach you everything you need to know about hand building and are really great in making sure you're on the right track. We even extruded the clay, which is satisfying to say the least! I will definitely be back again.

The workshop I attended at the Ceramicists was great! Stephanie and Kevin are very professional and knowledgeable in ceramics and are always ready to help. The studio is beautiful and very comfortable. They were so kind to provide us with nibbles - overall we had a great laugh and made some beautiful pieces! Will definitely come back with more friends!
