Sophie will guide you in creating your own abstract painting during this class. You will come away feeling inspired about art and painting and your own creative potential. All you need is some paper and paints. I don't mind what kind of paints you use but the more colours you have the better. If you have acrylics and a canvas brilliant but if not don't worry. Some paper and poster paints or watercolours will work just as well. Sophie is a very experienced artist she will help you create something really impressive with all her tips and tricks…

Your Teacher

Sophie is an artist, primarily a painter she also works with ceramics, drawing, printmaking and digital media. She is a colourist with a keen interest in expressing herself and her experiences through bold colour and striking mark making. All of which can be seen in her abstract and figurative pieces, which often contain a deep emotional and imaginative content.

Sophie enjoys exploring daring contrasts in her work both aesthetically and psychologically. Sophie has always done people’s portraits and takes commissions and is happy working both from life and photography.
