Photography is an art form with a fair bit of math involved and she taught my partner and I at a very suitable pace, making sure everything was covered. Moreover, the language and ideas conveyed were always accessible, with examples and references throughout.
ElliotIn my lessons with louise I learned lots of grammar and conversational focussed vocab. I learned a lots of tenses like past, future, imperfect and conditional, and now have a confident understanding of all tenses. My lessons with louise were all relaxed and fun, despite this relaxed tone they still felt fast paced, very quickly learning different topics and tenses. As a tutor louise was definitely the best italian teacher I’ve ever had, and also one of the best teachers I’ve ever had in anything, if I didn’t understand something she always explained things very well and never left me with any questions. Over the course of weekly lessons for 1 year I went from barely able to talk italian to being able to comfortably hold conversations with Italians in italy and overall the progress felt incredibly quick and lots of people in Italy noted how rapid much id improved in just a year. Louise is a fantastic Italian teacher and I cannot recommend her enough

DominikSaturday before last I met Louise around Waterloo Southbank for a beginner class in Street Photography which was perfect for me as this is what I do. I only use my phone for taking pictures and checked with Louise if this would be problem... It's not a problem at all and she said that we can focus more on the composition. When I arrived it started with taking a closer look at my phone's capabilities in taking photos. It was a very knowledgeable and insightful lesson. I learned about my phone's technical side and about the composition of taking pictures. I particularly like Louise's approach to taking pictures and would definitive recommend the class to anyone who'd like to have a bit of knowledge on how to create a better picture of what it is you see.

The Street Photography lesson that I required focused some of the Architecture on London's South Bank and the City was insightful and interesting and Lou is a 'class act' - a lovely person and great teacher across a wide range of photography subjects. I will certainly be booking a further lesson!

KowstubhaI have had a camera for nearly 4 years that I didn't use because I found it confusing and overwhelming to navigate. I finally decided it was time to ask for help, and booked in a session with Lou. She was so lovely and accommodating in organising the time and place (I am heavily pregnant!) Her teaching style is very clear and well thought out, combining both didactic and experiential elements, so you come away both understanding the 'how and why' of a function, as well as how to execute it in different scenarios. I am so glad I contacted her, as I now feel I have the confidence to make use of my camera and to start experimenting with taking some proper photos! I would highly recommend her, and hope I can find time for another lesson in the future to expand my skills.

The detail in which she was able to help me better understand both the technical and artistic side of photography was fantastic. She helped understand how to solve issues I was experiencing with lighting, positioning, composition and my camera settings, amongst other things. I love that she believes it is not always about the equipment you are using, but more about how you are using it. I thought at one point I may need to change my camera to get better results, however Louise helped me understand that this is not always the case. Sometimes it is just about a few setting changes, moving your position and the light you are working with. Louise is extremely patient, kind, thoughtful and a joy to be around. She always helped me feel at ease. I would recommend her all day long! Thank you Louise for helping become a better photographer.
