Organic Wine Tasting and Tapas

Organic Wine club is the UK’s first wine club solely dedicated to organic wines, proving that less powerful hangovers, fewer chemicals and environmental impact are certainly worth going that extra mile for, not to mention the fantastic taste!

Organic wine club is a superb new wine tasting experience that’ll change your views on wine, whilst doing your part for the environment.  There are 160 organic wines in stock, with more coming through every day, so you’ll have plenty of wine to taste throughout the sessions. What you may not know is the grapes in regular wine accumulate more harmful pesticides and herbicides than most other fruit. It means that conventional wines are not just alcohol, they come with additional harmful toxins. 

Organic wine is made from grapes grown organically. Organic farming presumes that no harmful pesticides, herbicides, fungicides and chemical fertilisers are allowed to grow the grapes. No artificial or synthetic preservatives were used, no colours added and no agents added to alter the taste; obviously nothing genetically modified.

Organic Wine Club

Immerse yourself in the enchanting world of South African wines from our founders heritage farm, Blaauwklippen, South Africa and a table full of a variety of easy to care for colourful succulents.  As you arrive, a welcoming glass of Prosecco sets the tone for an unforgettable experience. You'll then be treated to a tasting glass of three exquisite wines, including the crisp Chenin Blanc, the classic Cabernet Sauvignon and a bold Malbec.

SUCCULENT PLANTER
Whilst savouring these fine wines, get your hands connected to nature as you plant your very own succulent garden in a charming planter. This unique blend of wine and planting creates a memorable day where you take home not just the succulent planter, but also the delightful memories of a beautiful wine and planting experience at the charming Botanical Boys experience store.

Wine is served in 75ml tasting per wine.  More glasses or bottle can be purchased as part of your experience.

The planters change from time to time depending on stock availability.  But they are lovely and cute once planted and easy to take home.  Each planter varies slightly in size and style to the one on the image.

Love bubble tea? Come alone, bring your friends or come celebrate your birthday full of bubbles and fun where you will learn to make your favourite boba drinks in a hands-on learning experience at the famous Yifang bubble tea café in the heart of Camden.

Hosted by experienced boba baristas, you'll learn the ins and outs of making a variety of popular drinks. You'll learn a bit about the history of boba tea, how to create a variety of add-ins, mix flavours and present your final concoction with a professional flair.

Even if you don't know the first thing about bubble tea, your friendly hosts will be on hand to show you the ropes, give some useful tips and answer any questions you may have during the class.

After sharing and sampling the delicious drinks you've made, you'll leave the class with a certificate of completion, a head full of boba knowledge and a huge smile on your face.

Bubble Tea Business Workshop

Welcome to our self-guided South African wine tasting and pairing experience, showcasing the exceptional wines of South African farm Blaauklippen. This event is designed to let you explore and savour the rich flavours and unique characteristics of this renowned winery and pair them with some delicious food offerings, Biltong, Donuts and French chocolate.  This experience celebrates our SA heritage and brings a unique educational and fun way of wine tasting.

The class structure & what you will experience:

Our tutor will begin your journey by introducing you to the history of the Botanical Boys co-founder’s great grandfathers heritage wine farm, Blaauklippen in Stellenbosch, whilst you get comfortable.

We will introduce you to each of the pairings as you guide yourself through the menu and tasting notes in your own time whilst connecting with new friends in your class.  Once you have finished each tasting our tutor will bring the next wine to the table giving a short introduction and allow you to carry on at your own pace reading through your tasting notes and enjoying the food.

Wine Selection

Your tasting experience starts with a glass of Prosecco and includes a curated selection of 3 Award winning South African wines, each representing the finest of Blaauklippen farm.  Chardonnay, Blush Rose, Malbec/ Cabernet Sauvignon.

Wines are available to purchase at the end of your tasting at discounted cost.

To elevate your experience, we recommend choosing one of our delicious pairing options. This can be selected by choosing different ticket types. Pairing options will include wine & doughnuts, wine & French chocolate & wine & biltong.

Wine Tasting - Premium English Wines

Learn about the history of kombucha and how to brew your own, including 1st and 2nd ferment, bottling and storage. Also learn my top tips for safely opening fizzy bottles.

You'll receive a tried and tested recipe to keep along with a flavour grid to help provide some inspiration for those 2nd ferments.

As well, you'll be given my troubleshooting guide, complied based on over five years' experience of making and teaching others how to make kombucha.

This is a fun, informal and popular class and can be attended by anyone anywhere in the world, as a class recording is provided at the end of the session.


Kombucha Masterclass

Be introduced to 6 fabulous wines from award winning English vineyards. The tasting session will be hosted by Clive Barlow MW and will showcase some of the finest English wines. Split into three distinct groups, you will taste 2 Sparkling Wines, 2 Bacchus Wines and 2 Chardonnay Wines, reflecting the true diversity of English wines.

We have an award-winning sparkling rosé from Woodchurch, WineGB's (2020) Best Classic Cuvée from Ashling Park, West Sussex, 2 new Chardonnay's, including Hattingley Valley in Hampshire and a first Chardonnay from the impressive newcomer, Heppington vineyard. And, of course, 2 Bacchus wines, including IEAW Gold medal winner, Whitehall vineyard and, local to Canterbury, the CB Bacchus.

Clive Barlow is one of just over 400 Masters of Wine in the world and is vastly experienced at hosting wine tasting events. He is a panel chair at the International Wine Challenge, was a senior judge at the Decanter Awards, founded the Canterbury Wine Festival and Chair of Education at the Institute of Masters of Wine.


Wine Tasting - Kent Vs The Rest

The Wine Garden of England is made up of 7 of Kent’s most prestigious vineyards, 6 of which are currently producing wine, with Domaine Evremond expected to do so in the next couple of years. Each vineyard has selected one their wines which showcase their style and quality. The six wines being tasted are Gusbourne Brut Rosé, Squerryes Brut 17, Biddenden Gribble Bridge Rosé 2020, Balfour Liberty’s Bacchus 2019, Chapel Down Chardonnay 2020 and Simpson’s Railway Hill Rosé

The evening will be hosted by Clive Barlow, MW. Being based in Canterbury he is well known in the area and a highly respected wine expert. He founded the Canterbury Wine Festival and was Director of Education at the renowned Institute of Master of Wine as well as being a panel chair at the International Wine Challenge.

Wine is served in 50ml tastings per wine.  More glasses or bottles can be purchased on the night.  The planter, plants and decorative materials is all included in your unique experience.  Each planter will vary from the images as to what’s available at the time.


Wine Tasting & Succulent Planting Workshop

Chestnuts are a true gift of nature. Prolific growers, rich in Vitamin C, Potassium and protein, a staple since Roman times, and are celebrated in many cuisines.
In this workshop we’ll forage at a local woods, and upon returning to our kitchen, you’ll learn how to store them and try a variety of dishes, cooked by our chef. We’ll finish the day with a firepit (subject to weather), roasted chestnuts and mulled wine.
