This was such a handy workshop for learning to sew. I had never even touched a sewing machine before and by the end, I felt pretty comfortable setting up the machine and sewing basic lines. I even managed to make a pretty good cushion (if I do say so myself)! Would 100% recommend for beginners.

The workshop was really fun and I wish I could stay there to learn more. Teacher was super sweet and really helpful. However, the only small downside is that I didn’t expect the sewing machine to be so dusty! But other than that it has been a great experience.

Really enjoyable class. I hadn't touched a sewing machine in light years and approached this project with some trepidation! Despite being outnumbered by children, Tracy made the session enjoyable and all inclusive. Tracy seems to possess the unique skill of being everywhere at one time. She was by my side whenever I needed help - just keeping me and the others on track and out of trouble. We all finished the class with amazingly good cushions. I still can't stop looking at mine. I'm so impressed with the outcome!

Loved this workshop! I had absolutely no sewing skills and hadn't used a sewing machine for at least 10 years (and I was awful then!). Tracey was a great teacher, really patient and knowledgable. I left the workshop feeling super smug that I had actually sewn a cushion cover, and confident enough to get my machine out of the loft and give it a go at home. Held in a lovely studio in a beautiful setting. Would definitely recommend!

We learned how to thread up a sewing machine and use it , with lots of guidance. Our teacher was very friendly and gave me some additional tips as I am partially sighted. We all had new cushions to return home with at the end of the class.

We covered a lot of ground using a pattern
Learning to set up a machine and operate it safely
Even got to use an overlooker
Came away with a cushion and some confidence in my ability and have been sewing since

I have booked flexitime class and Jenny was very helpful and accommodating to my requests. The class was great, very friendly and I have learned everything I was hoping to! Will definitely be back!

Tracey was a very pleasant. Took her time in teaching me and answering any question I had. I left confident I could do it on my own and since then I’ve done two cushion covers. Thank you for a great class

I hadn't sewn since school and I was really nervous about it, and thought I would be rubbish, but the teacher made me feel really calm and at ease, and was really friendly. I was super proud of my cushion & now I can't wait to go back and sew more stuff! I've got the bug.
