I thoroughly enjoyed this class! It gave me the kick start I needed to dust off the sewing machine I purchased a while back but had rarely used. We learnt a lot of different skills, from patchwork to appliqué, and it was all delivered by friendly, patient teachers in a relaxed and supportive environment! Really great course, thank you.

I absolutely love the course., the teachers, setting, atmosphere are great. The lessons are well structured with clear objectives for each lesson yet not stressful or over academic. Yet you do learn an incredible amount. The teachers are very knowledgeable answering all those little questions and give tips and tricks. This does fast track your learning curve as a beginner to get you making your own projects. The environment is perfect. Although not huge, there is plenty of space and it feels very homely which i really like. In short i think its great and happily recommend anyone who wants to learn more sewing!

The 2-day Beginners Sewing: Home & Accessories class with MakeMee Studio was a present from my partner. The studio is located at the end of Tracey's garden; it is well equipped (there is a range of sewing machines, overlockers, fabrics, threads, tools, examples of projects, etc.) and comfortable. On the first day, Tracey taught me the basics of sewing: safety around the machine, winding-up a bobbin, threading a machine, casting on and off... She answered my questions and helped me practice my new skills. By mid-day, I completed my first project under Tracey's guidance: a cushion cover. Making a cushion cover with my own two hands within a few hours of using a sewing machine was such a satisfying experience. Over the rest of the first day and on the second day, Tracey taught me more advanced skills and techniques: sewing by hand, pipping, sewing in a curve, sewing a zip, sewing a button, etc. By explaining how/why a technique was used, she grounded the new skill I had just learned into reality: for example, she told me that blind hems were used for suits. On day 2, I completed the project of my choice: a fully lined tote bag. Once again, with Tracey's guidance and support, I was able to make something amazing with my own two hands. I *highly* recommend the Beginners Sewing: Home & Accessories class with MakeMee Studio. Tracey helped me understand how sewing machines worked and how to use them safely. The day after my second class I threaded the sewing machine that I had found by the side of the road six years earlier, and made a cushion cover by myself! I plan on making dungarees next (ambitious!) and I'll go back to Make Mee Studio's walk-in clinic with any questions/problems I have. Thank you Tracey, I had a lovely time and I'm so happy with my newly-learned skills.

This course was a great introduction to sewing. I familiarised with machine sewing, machines and various techniques from buttonholes to sleeves inserts. The teacher Jaime was very friendly and information, she created a nice atmosphere in which to unwind after work while learning new sewing skills. The venue was cosy and welcoming, very close to a local pub and transport links.
