Jesmonite Casting Workshop - Make Your Own Terrazzo Plant Pot

Fantastic crafty experience from start to finish. Francesca’s experience shone though and she was super patient with the whole group. 12 completely different coloured and equally beautiful plant pots made by the various members of the group.

Fab, wholesome plant pot making workshop held inside a plant shop. Instructor was lovely and attentive, class was a suitable size and comfortable in length so that you weren’t rushed. Love my pot and already filled it with a plant bought on site.

Absolutely brilliant afternoon, I really enjoyed the workshop. Francesca is a patient & clear tutor, the steps were easy to follow & very relaxing. The result is that you get a lovely plant pot to take home & admire.

Fabulous class would highly recommend ! It was a relatively small group so it was easy for anyone to get any help they needed. Francesca was lovely and took time explaining everything clearly to everyone. Really lovely atmosphere and everyone was really happy with the pot the left with!

I got the workshop as a gift from my mum, it was reasonably priced, and so much fun. Plus fran was so kind and generous when we had to rebook twice (out of date range) due to various things, and she was very understanding. The class itself was fun, engaging, and we came away with a new skill and a lovely new plant pot! Thanks Fran!

I did this workshop yesterday and I had a really great time. I’m not a particularly creative person but Fran was so lovely and so helpful with explaining the steps and correcting some colour mixing mishaps. I found the whole session really relaxing after a stressful week and I left feeling so good. I am beyond thrilled that I got to create my pot from start to finish and take it home with me. I have already had several compliments on it. I can’t recommend this workshop enough. I would definitely do it again and any other similar workshops that Fran might do in future :)

Really great workshop. The pot is gorgeous! Completely up to you what colours you use. Fran was really relaxed, informative and helpful. I did this at London Terrariums (a brilliant space & well located) and everything was organised so well, even with drinks and snacks provided. Would love to do again!

Fantastic workshop! I took my mum as a birthday present and we had so much fun and made some gorgeous pots. We loved that it was really hands on and we got to mix our own colours to create something bespoke. The process is interesting, with different techniques and stages to get to the final product, and it’s fab that it only takes a few hours, so you get to take your finished pot home with you! Great for impatient people like me. Francesca is lovely and a brilliant teacher. The whole vibe of the workshop was one of the best we’ve experienced. Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed this workshop, it was very well paced and interesting and you end up with something very professional looking. The tutor is really clear in her instructions. The colour mixing was really focusing and pleasurable. A small group of 5 was really perfect.

The terrazzo plant pot workshop was so much fun. Fran was a great teacher giving everyone as much or as little help as they needed. It was great to be able to take the finished pot away at the end of the session. Would definitely recommend!

The jesmonite planter-making workshop with Fran was lovely - with time and attention spent at each step of the process, really clear steps and instructions, and a great atmosphere of crafting as a group! I had so much fun on this course. It was messy so it would be nice to have a sink slightly closer to hand! But the end product is a fantastic pot to take away with you at the end of the day. One recommendation would be to have a kit available to purchase at the end of the course to create more pots at home.

Great location, and a super class. Fran was friendly and welcoming and very patient. She gave as much help as we needed but also let us make our own decisions so that the pot was very personal. Would thoroughly recommend.

This is the 2d time I've done this workshop and honestly I'll be coming back again! Francesca is a great host and a fun coordinator, so you're in good hands to create your own plant pot! The group size remains quite small too so you get to socialise with the other members too. You'll come out of it having had lots fun playing with colours, energised but also kind of tempted to make some more :) Go on and give it a try!

The best workshop I’ve been to. Francesca is so knowledgable, patient, funny and encouraging. We all made really beautiful pots and had a brilliant time making our colours. It was so nice to leave with a finished object. Cannot wait to do another workshop at Salt Studios!

This class was amazing! We had a lovely group and had such a good time (and a good laugh!). I went on my own as I was keen to try something new but it felt like I was with my mates. Francesca is so warm and welcoming and has a lovely studio full of inspiration for your project. She explained what we would be doing, talked us through the materials we’d be using and was super helpful and hands on step by step from colour mixing to casting and sanding. I had such a wonderful time and walked away with a beautiful plant pot I love! I honestly can’t recommend this workshop enough (a wonderful gift idea!).

My friend and I had such a fun time last night making our Terrazzo pots. Francesca is very skilled, a great teacher and just a hoot to be around. We were all chatting and cackling away as we made our pots. We’re chuffed with the finished products as well and can’t wait to go buy the plants to put in them. 100% recommend this class to anyone. We left the workshop really satisfied! A couple of hours spent having fun, being creative and making 2 really cool pots! Francesca is really friendly and explained the whole process easily and properly! The whole process of creating your own colours makes it even more special as you will be creating a unique item! Please go for it cos you'll have good time ! :)

I really enjoyed the terrazzo pot class at Salt studios. Francesca is a great teacher, encouraging us each individually and helping us achieve the colours we were aiming for. The class took us through dying 2 different colours of terrazzo chips and then mixed that into a background pot colour. The results were great and everyone left with a really professional looking, unique pot. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would love to work with jesmonite again!

This was a great workshop and Francesca was an inspiring, patient and knowledgeable tutor that guided us through the process with ease. The studio is lovely and full of Francesca's work, so interesting to see the various casts at different stages of their production. I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone interested in starting out in jesmonite casting.

I really enjoyed the workshop and am delighted with the pot I made. Francesca was a great teacher and helped me pick out some beautiful colours to mix up. It did run over time a bit, which was not a problem for me at all, but if booking, make sure you leave a bit of extra time if you want to stay and remove your pot from the mould and sand it yourself (otherwise Francesca does this step for you and sends you the finished pot - but I really enjoyed getting that first glimpse of my pot and the colours I chose).

I thought the class was well prepared and set up, ready for people to get stuck in. Loved the studio space, and the various pots and plants dotted about provided inspiration. Francesca has great energy and with her knowledge of the whole process guided us assuredly all along the way. I came out with a nice plant pot that I’m very proud of. I would definitely recommend the workshop to my friends.

Thanks Francesca for a fabulous jesomite pot making session, that was such fun and a bonus of a beautiful pot to walk away with. Great studio and inspiring teaching. Looking forward to making some more.

I almost forgot to do this review but better late than never! Francesca is very friendly and a great teacher. My girlfriend and I were able to follow along easily and ended up with two beautiful looking pots at the end. Recommended for a fun date!

This workshop is a blissful couple of hours getting messy and creative, and now I'm very much looking forward to receiving my finished pot. What will it look like once out of the mould and sanded down? The suspense is killing me!
