Julie - 8 September 2020
The workshop was great fun and very well organised. Seeing everyone's ideas was inspirational and it was amazing how much we achieved in the time. Total concentration needed so very mindful! Claire is a very good teacher.
Polly - 22 February 2020
This was a well led and extremely relaxing class to attend. We were shown examples of what could be achieved in the session, some technical pointers and clear safety instructions. It wasn't long before we were 'hands on'. All through the session were encouraged to try our own styles but assistance was always prompt if we needed it. The refreshments were most welcome. Our glass was fired, beautifully packed and available at the workshop on the day promised. Clare was extremely sensitive and aware of what we would like to take away from the course. I would thoroughly recommend that anyone should try this craft.
Karen Chapman - 19 July 2019
Had a wonderful time. Met some lovely people & the instructor, Clare, was wonderful. Informative, friendly & patient. Excellent value for money too. Can’t wait to do another workshop.
Pamela - 19 July 2019
The process of creating a glass coaster and dish using fused glass to decorate was carefully explained and demonstrated with the aid of finished examples. We learnt about appropriate health and safety issues, how to cut and glue glass and how to develop a design using a range of prepared coloured glass pre-cut in different shapes and textures, including some ground into quite a fine powder. The fusing process involving the kiln was explained and we then completed the design and making of 2 coasters and a dish which the teacher took away to be fused - the finished products to be collected at a later date. The teacher was extremely informative, helpful and friendly and everyone was put at their ease. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the workshop which I think could be described as a mindful experience. The venue was easily accessible and comfortable with all the necessary resources and equipment on hand. The studio workshop was well set up with appropriate attention given to health and safety.
