What happens in this class?

Have a go at needle felting from the comfort of your own home. For this two hour workshop, you will be posted a kit ahead of time with everything you need to create your own little needle felted painting, framed in an embroidery hoop.

Your kit will include:

  • 4.5 x 5.5 inch dense foam pad;
  • Two felting needles;
  • A 4 inch wooden embroidery hoop;
  • One square of linen with a template design; and
  • Seven colours of carded Corriedale wool.

I loved this workshop! What an amazing way to spend a Saturday afternoon in lockdown. Gwen was so lovely and encouraging. As with so many craft activities -it's about the process not the result. But I was delighted with that too! Thank you Gwen :-)

Your Teacher

Gwen is a felt artist and ecologist based in Dunblane, Scotland. She is passionate about the UK’s native flora and fauna and is inspired by the beauty and variety of the UK’s landscapes; in particular the dramatic mountainscapes and beautiful coastlines of Scotland where she lives, and Wales where she was born.
