What happens in this class?

Mittens are a perfect small project that will improve anyone's knitting. In the first week of the class we will learn to cast on in the round on double pointed needles (dpns) and increase for the thumb. In the second week we will work the decreases for the top, pick up stitches to knit the thumb and go over how to finish the mitten. We will also cover how to read patterns and make yarn choices for future projects, and how to customise the pattern later with different stitch patterns for a unique and individualised pair of mittens. This class includes 100g of DK weight wool in your choice of colours. Please bring your own set of 4mm knitting needles (straight or circular). They can be purchased on the day if needed. A vegan option is available, please email for more information.

Natalie Selles is a knitting instructor and designer working in Chelmsford, England. Originally from Toronto, Canada, she has working in yarn shops and for knitting businesses for over 10 years. She has taught knitting classes in London for 3 years, mostly at Knit With Attitude in Stoke Newington. Her designs have appeared in magazines such as Pom Pom Quarterly.
