6 hour workshop
Lucie Gledhill is running this class as a fundraiser for a new ambitious project. All profits from this class will go towards making new work for Collect Open, part of the Collect International Fair for Modern Craft and Design in February 2020 at Somerset House, London. This class will only be available for a limited time.

During this class you will learn how to make curb chain for a ring. You will use silver wire to bend around a tool to make a coil. You will cut down the coil to make jumprings. You will solder together the rings to make a chain. Finally you will twist the chain to make the curb shape. You can make a chain any size or weight to fit your finger.
Materials are included in the cost of the class. The class will run from 11am - 5pm with a break for lunch.

Made By Ore was founded in 2011 by Royal College of Art alumni Caren Hartley and Lucie Gledhill, brought together by a love of making they have taught award-winning creative metalwork and jewellery classes from their dedicated teaching workshop in East London ever since!
At Made By Ore we teach what we know, and use our own practice as jewellers to inform the classes we teach. Each of our teachers is an expert in they're own specialism.

Please wear appropiate clothing for a worshop and shoes which cover your feet. At various points you will be asked to tie long hair back or tuch loose clothing in. If you wear glasses for reading you will probably need them for jewellery making too.
