Beginners candle making workshop - Marlow

What a great course - informative, fun and productive! We came away with over 8 candles made by our own fair hands! Definitely recommend attending the course it was a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon and a superb gift.

It was a really fun morning, better even than I expected. We learnt how to make a variety of candles and proudly took our samples home with us. Sarah is very knowledgeable and happy to pass on her wisdom. Highly recommended

It’s my second time to attend Sarah’s workshop, and I always enjoy it! Sarah has got very good skills and knowledge on candle making. Sarah will go through with you on every single step, whether it’s for your own candle making or setting up a business.

The candle making course was excellent! Sarah is a great teacher - she was welcoming and provided clear instruction and encouragement. Her garden studio is excellent - it was comfy and warm and had good light. We loved making a variety of different styles of candles and the helpful guide we were given at the end will be a useful prompt for home use. It was a thoroughly enjoyable morning. My top tip is to have breakfast in Coopers Roastery & Coffee Bar on the neighbouring industrial estate. There is a free multi storey carpark next to Coopers and you then have a 4 minute walk to Sarah’s across the railway line. The path across the railway line is behind the green metal gate immediately before the tunnel.

Myself and 2 friends booked this class to celebrate a 60th birthday. We had not been on a candle making course before so did not know what to expect. We were greeted with a lovely hot drink in the bespoke garden room. Tuition was interesting and precise and we were able to make 4 different type of candles including a scented one. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon and I would definitely recommend d to any one wanting to have a go at making candles whether it is for fun or with the intention of making them to sell.

This was a fun and informative morning, learning about different candle types & techniques and then making our own. I left with a selection of pretty candles and ideas for making more at home.

Fabulous introduction to the wonderful world of candle making, went with my partner for a couples adventure and can wholeheartedly recommend it for anyone with an interest in craft, self development, couple or single adventures.

My Husband got me ‘Candle By Events’ workshop ticket for my birthday. I was great by Sarah making tea in her workshop/log cabin. The room was set up with melted wax and trays with everything we needed to make a pillar candle, container candle and tea lights, we even made a Christmas pudding candle! We also made some wax melts, I’m a convert to these now! We learned a lot in 3 hours about different options for wax and fragrance. It was very informative. Looking forward to doing another soon! It’s one of the best workshops I’ve done, I left feeling inspired! Thankyou Sarah!

Great purpose built venue which gave us ample room to work but also close enough to chat comfortably with other attendees. Our tutor, Sarah, was great - she found just the right balance between giving us some background and science on candlemaking and then letting us get on with making something. Instructions and demonstrations of each step were clear and we were thrilled with how many candles we were able to make to take home. Really great value for money and a great sense of achievement, three hours just whizzed by!

I went on this course as I wanted to learn more about Candle Making. Sarah was a wonderful teacher, she explained things as we were going and shared lots of hints and tips. My favourite candle was the pillar candle with the coloured wax. The booklet which went with the course is a really good reminder of what we learnt during the course. Sarah's course has inspired me to have a go and experiment more at home. Thank you Sarah.

Booked this day for myself this is something that I wouldn't normally do, I'm so happy that I did. It was a great way to spend an afternoon. We were able to take home all the different types of candles that we made , Sarah was a great host , I have now purchased Sarah's book and now itching to make my own .

The workshop was informative & something different from our normal routine. Enjoyed it. Only thing that made me unhappy was that , I ran out of little wax to make additional tea light candles.

Such a fun morning out and actually managed to produce some lovely candles under Sarah's excellent guidance!

A fabulous afternoon dabbling with wax. I was a bit concerned that a beginners course might be a bit basic but we learnt a lot of useful tips about types of wax an wicks, then made several different styles of candles to take home. The time flew by. Although three of us went together, there were several ladies on their own and we had a great interaction. Cosy classroom in a garden room (with toilet facilities).

A really lovely Christmassy workshop with Sarah who is an excellent teacher so that you always leave with a little bag of gorgeous hand made things (this time candles, wax melts and a decorative pinecone). I am a very happy repeat customer.
