About your host, Cheryl Powling Stained Glass Studio
Cheryl has been making and designing lead lights for about as long as it has taken her to raise three children and send them all off to university and watch them get married too ! so that’s a long time. She decided that she wanted to be a stay at home mum and be able to have something to occupy her and fulfill her creative skills and discovered a ‘Stained Glass Evening Class’ at her local college, which she attended for a one night a week course for six months.
Not only did she enjoy her new found challenge, but then decided that all the years of admiring the glass panels in and around London she felt it could definitely be something she could perfect, and so it happened..
She got good...Then got better.... And became an expert…..
This could be you………….. because Cheryl is now running classes for anyone who is interested in learning this wonderful craft, or others who would like to ‘brush up’ on this fabulous hobby, which could lead to many years ahead of unlimited enjoyment and fun, not to mention, profit.
"Passing this skill on to others gives me such gratification and also meeting new people and knowing that this very important artistry will carry on into future generations makes this so worthwhile, and over the years of teaching I have met such wonderful people and new friends"
Classes are run from her studio at her home in North London, they are small up to six people at a time, so that means you get lots of personal attention, and you will leave there with something very special created by you, ready to hang in your homes, or give to your loved ones...
Please wear sensible clothing and closed shoes.. All materials and tools provided Plus free refreshments all day long The most relaxed and informal and fun class ever !
All students under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
