What happens in this class?

The aim of this course is to expand your experience in making bases for mosaic but could also simply become an attractive sculpture for your garden or home. (This course doesn't include laying mosaics onto the sculpture. However you can do this in a follow up course 'Mosaic for Gardens and Scultural Form')

We will work with polystyrene to create 1 main piece (we expect this to be a bit smaller than those in the course images), so come with your designs and ideas in hand and we will make them into a reality.

Excellent course. We learn how to translate our project in 3D. Tamara, our tutor, is very knowledgeable and has a lot of experience and she successfully managed to teach us how to produce the sculptures even we haven't done that before. The tools provided as well as the facilities were adequate. I enjoyed the course very much.

Tamara's course was very enjoyable. I'm glad there were only a few of us on the weekend as there wouldn't have been space for more students and the queue for the hot wire would have been longer. Tamara was very energetic and enthusiastic about her subject and obviously knowledgeable. Maybe a little more planning and the suggestion to make smaller pieces would have led to shorter days; if Tamara had insisted we finished at 5pm, as she would have been entitled to do, we'd never have got our pieces finished. Having the cafe open would have been good.

This was a fantastic course- I learned so much and it was really fun. Students were encouraged to be adventurous.
