What happens in this class?

This course offers a perfect opportunity for anyone interested in learning and acquiring skills on the pottery wheel while grasping the fundamental concepts. Prior experience is not necessary to join the course, although it is recommended to participate in a basic taster session before committing to the full course.

Throughout this five-week beginners' course, our aim is to cover the fundamental aspects of working with clay. By the end of the course, you will gain the ability to work independently on the pottery wheel and comprehend the entire process from beginning to end.

Free parking is available for two hours at Alperton sainsburys or Loon Fung , near the studio. You can extend the parking time at Sainsburys via www.yourparkingspace.co.uk
How long after the course will my pottery be ready for collection?
Your fired pottery will be ready for collection approximately one week after the course ends.
What happens if I miss a session?
If you miss a session, we can schedule a catch-up session to ensure you receive the missed content.

Had such a lovely time over the four week course. Sampada is so patient and such a great teacher. Absolutely loved week 2 and having a long session on the wheel. Would do it all again for sure!

The Slightly Curious Studio is a creative studio based in London founded by Sampada Gurung. The studio is based in North London , Alperton.

Sampada is a multi disciplinary artist, specialising in illustration, ceramics and crafts . She has been teaching in various studios across uk for years and loves teaching and giving others a platform to encounter materials and learn skills to express their imagination and curiosity.
