During this experience you will be using my glass torch to work with molten glass and learn how lampwork glass beads are made. Using colours of your choice we will explore a range of decorative techniques to create your own unique set of glass beads in my studio. We will make a series of round beads with the option of trying a novelty mushroom bead, perfect as a cute pendant or to add to a on trend bead necklace.

Things to remember

For the class please wear closed toe shoes and tie long hair back.
Please be aware that there is step access to the studio and the experience requires moderate manual dexterity.

All materials and safety equipment will be provided.

Will I have something to take away?

Yes but not on the day of the session. Your glass will need to be annealed overnight to remove stresses generated by the making process. It will be ready for collection or postage in the days following the session.

What are the facilities?

My workshop is fully self contained with bathroom and kitchen facilities.

My sister and I had a great time with Samantha learning how to make glass beads. Samantha was very knowledgeable and created a relaxed atmosphere for the class, there was no feeling of being time pressured. The class is quite different to what is usually on offer and we are both very pleased with our beads.
