During this experience you will be using my glass torch to work with molten glass and learn how lampwork glass rings are made. Using colours of your choice we will explore a range of decorative techniques to create your own glass rings in my studio. We will use 2 different techniques to make rings which can be worn on the hand or strung onto a chain.

We will be working with borosilicate glass using both opaque and transparent colours. All materials and safety glasses are included. The workshop takes place in my self contained North London studio, 5 minutes walk…

Things to remember

For the class please wear closed toe shoes and tie long hair back.
Please be aware that there is step access to the studio and the experience requires moderate manual dexterity.

The studio has it's own bathroom and kitchen facilities.

Will I have something to take away with me?

Yes but not on the day of the session. Your glass will need to be annealed to remove stresses caused by the making process. Your pieces can be collected or posted out to you in the days following the class.

Amazing introduction to working with glass and on the lamp in a comfortable studio that's easily accessible from the station. Sam is a fun and encouraging teacher. We made two rings in class and I'm already down the lamdworking glass rabbit hole :)
