What happens in this class?

In this drawing class for beginners, we will spend one and one half hours creating a reproduction of a famous drawing or painting. Beyond the drawing you make, you will learn essential information in regard to techniques and materials which will allow you to continue to pursue developing your drawing skills on your own!

This class is presented by the British- American artist Gordon Carter. He has over 20 years experience as a professional artist and a love of sharing that experience with the public.

Thanks for the lesson today Gordon. It was helpful to have a formal drawing lesson to get me started towards drawing people. I will keep practicing from today! We had a wonderful time doing this class. We did it as a family: two adults and two children, aged 10 and 12. One of us is a complete beginner and the other three are a bit more experienced, and we all learnt a lot and enjoyed ourselves. Gordon is a patient and kind teacher and made it a lot of fun. We would highly recommend this class.

Fantastic personalised instruction. I'm sure this class would be even better in person, where the teacher could critique your technique more easily, but I think it's great they're still able to run the class virtually.

What a great experience! I'm a beginner and the fundamental aspects of drawing technique and tools which Gordon explained have made a big difference to what I'm able to achieve. Now I can get better results from my attempts and see more clearly what I can do to improve. Gordon was patient, enthusiastic and able to give incisive direction.
